Los Angeles, CA, United States (AHN) â" Britney Spears fiance, Jason Trawick, has been granted approval to oversee the pop-singerâs personal affairs.
Trawick applied to become co-conservator in early April.
The decision to grant Trawickâs request means that he will now have legal power over Spearsâ well-being for things such as food. clothing and medical care, but he will have no control or say in managing her finances.
Spears requested that Trawick be added as co-conservator in December, after the couple became engaged.
While they did appear in court together earlier this year, Spears was not present for the April 26 decision.
Spears has been under court-ordered conservatorship since February 2008, following two hospitalizations and several episodes of bizarre behavior.
Her father, Jamie Spears, then stepped in to manage her care and fortune.
Trawick had been Spearsâ manager from 2008 through early 2012. He stepped down when the two became romantically involved.
