Could tweeting be considered a legitimate addition? Do some stars seem tethered to this social media platform, always present to share the details of their everyday lives or, for music journalists and fans, their potential records, tours, and projects? For a while, Madonna was absent from Twitter, with manager Guy Oseary providing the updates regarding her recently-released album MDNA. But, upon the albumâs release on March 26, Madge set up an account â" one, originally, only for promotional purposes.
Yet, based on the âGirls Gone Wildâ singerâs recent activity, sheâs formed an attachment. Returning for another round of questions and answers, she started communicating with other celebrities. So, who did she talk to?
Katy Perry, appealing with a genuine question, was one, and Madonna told the âPart of Meâ singer to be in the front row at one of her tour performances.
More shocking, however, were her statements to Britney Spears, who, at one point, was rumored to be on âGirls Gone Wild.â She said: "Please come on stage and kiss me again. I miss you!!"
Spears replied with: "Tempting..."
The Queen of Pop then replied: "Are you gonna make me work for this?"
Would you want Brit and Madge to kiss again, just as they did at the 2003 MTV Video Music Awards? Should Christina Aguilera be involved, too?
On a musical level, Madonna contacted Lionel Richie to congratulate him on his albumâs success. For those unaware, Richieâs Tuskegee â" an album of country-influenced hits â" placed right behind MDNA on the Billboard 200. Also capitalizing on her EDM cred, she contacted MDNA producers Martin Solveig and William Orbit and âGirls Gone Wildâ remix producer Avicii and asked Skrillex about opening on her tour.
