Britney Spears left without eyelashes and eyebrows after her fireplace exploded

Britney Spears was left without eyelashes and eyebrows after her fireplace exploded in her face.

The Toxic singer, 42, has told her Instagram followers the potentially deadly incident happened six months ago, and was the result of her security not lighting it for her.

She told her 42 million followers in a video clip, in which she spoke in a British accent: "I was in my room, I turned the fire on, and all of the sudden, it blew up in my face."

Britney added her fireplace had "done that before", and she usually gets her security to "come in and light it" for her.

She went on: "But this time, I just threw the whole thing in there, and it literally blew into my face… it took all my eyelashes off, my eyebrows and - see these baby bangs? These are from… it sizzling all my hair."

Britney also told how she feared she had second or third-degree burns and thought she was going to have to "go to the emergency room" as her "face was, like, on fire".

She said about the pain she experienced in the aftermath of the fire blast: "It hurt to touch my phone. It hurt to put ice on my face.

"It hurt to have anything touch it. This happened for, like, six or seven hours.

"The pain never went away. It was so, so, so bad."

Britney said she turned to taking painkiller Tylenol to go to sleep, adding: "Yeah, it was really bad."

But she concluded: "All is good now."

Britney opened up last year about a fire she accidentally started with candles in her home gym and showed off the burnt remnants after the accident on her Instagram.

While Lady Gaga's engagement to Michael Polansky was confirmed at the 2024 Olympics, the news was not supposed to be born this way.

However, the Grammy winner appears unbothered that it was accidentally made public in July when a video of herself introducing her longtime partner as her "fiancé" to French Prime Minister Gabriel Attal at a crowded Olympic event was posted on the politician's TikTok.

"The prime minister actually had his people filming us while they were saying hello and they caught me saying, 'Oh, this is my fiancé,'" Gaga said on the Sept. 27 episode of the "Graham Norton Show." "And I was trying to keep it hidden, but then they announced it to everyone. But that was kind of fun."

At the time the engagement news was confirmed, rumors the two planned to marry had already been swirling, as the "Shallow" singer was photographed in April wearing a giant diamond ring on her ring finger. The 38-year-old told Graham Norton that her partner proposed to her the 1st of that month — April Fools' Day.

"Actually, I thought he was joking and he was not," Gaga said. "But it was really nice."

She and Polansky, a tech investor, first sparked romance rumors when they were photographed kissing at a 2020 New Year's party in Las Vegas.

The following February, Gaga hard-launched their relationship on Instagram when the two attended the Super Bowl together. Earlier this month, they made their red carpet debut as a couple at the premiere of "Joker: Folie à Deux" at the Venice Film Festival. Michael also joined Gaga at the more recent U.K. premiere of the film Sept. 25.

Her mom, Cynthia Germanotta, had introduced the lovebirds.

"She said, 'I just met your husband,'" Gaga told "Access Hollywood" in an interview released Sept. 23. "And I was like, 'I'm not ready to meet my husband!'"

Lady Gaga is sharing all the details of her romance with fiancé Michael Polansky, The "Applause" singer is Vogue's October 2024 cover star and told the outlet that she and her fiancé met in 2019 through her mother, Cynthia Germanotta, who runs the Born This Way Foundation.

The Oscar winner — who was previously engaged to Christian Carino and Taylor Kinney — later took her mother up on the offer to introduce her to Polansky, who cofounded the Parker Foundation with Napster cofounder Sean Parker.

"He was at a birthday party at Sean Parker's house," Gaga said. "He was just the most amazing man I'd ever met. We talked for, like, three hours and then I couldn't find him, but then he called me."

The two had met during lockdown at the start of the COVID pandemic.

"We had this amazing chapter of a weird kind of normalcy that's essential for any relationship to develop in a real way," Polansky told Vogue in an interview published Sept. 5, nothing the two enjoyed spending time "taking walks, making coffee, hanging out with the dogs, reading books together."

He continued, "She's used to being isolated because of her fame and was able to take so much of it in stride. I think she loved the chance to slow down."

Britney Spears is recounting a "dangerous" experience she had earlier this year that almost sent her to the emergency room.

The pop singer shared an update Sept. 30 detailing a painful moment from six months ago when she was burned by her fireplace.

"I was in my room and I turned the fire on and, all of a sudden, it blew up in my face," the 42-year-old said in the video. "The times it's done it before, I quit so I always get my security to come in and light it for me because I was scared it was going to blow up."

But lighting the fireplace on her own led to Spears unfortunately losing some of her hair.

"This time, I just threw the whole thing in there and it blew into my face and took all my eyelashes off and my eyebrows," she continued. "And see this baby hair? These baby bangs? This is from six months ago. It fizzled all my hair."

The "Baby One More Time" singer then explained that she feared she may need to go to the hospital, saying, "The person I was with would not wake up, and I thought I'd have to go to the emergency room because my face was on fire."

Spears also described the panic she had in the moment, fearing she could have severe burns because "it hurt to just touch" her face.

After what she described as "six or seven hours" of discomfort due to her injuries, the "Toxic" singer was able to remedy her pain.

"Finally, I took three Tylenol," Spears said. "Which is like a really, really big deal for me. It's like a f------ Vicodin or something. But I took three and finally I went to sleep."

And while the "Gimme More" singer didn't share whether she ended up going to the hospital, she insisted that she's in better spirits now.

"It was really bad, but all is good now," Spears explained. "It happens."

Britney Spears is now home safe following an incident Wednesday night at the Chateau Marmont in Hollywood.
