Britney Spears is a normal, sweet and shy person, says documentary director

Fenton Bailey, who directed Britney Spears in a documentary about her life, has said she is a "sweet, normal and shy" person.

The filmmaker got to know the pop star during the 2013 documentary I Am Britney Jean when she was releasing a new album and had her first Las Vegas residency.

Bailey said, when they filmed Spears, as she released 2013's Britney Jean, he discovered that she is a "normal, boring person" and described her as "sweet and lovely" and "shy".

He added: "She says…'It pays to be aggressive, and speak your mind' and she said, 'I'm just not like that, you know, I'm shy, I'm thoughtful about what other people are thinking, I care what other people think'.

Spears was under a complex legal arrangement, started in 2008, which allowed her father Jamie to control her freedom and finances.

The 41-year-old American singer fought to end her conservatorship which after 13 years in November 2021 was terminated by a judge in Los Angeles terminated– a legal arrangement that is usually reserved for the very ill or old.

During the court case, fans often appeared outside holding signs saying "free Britney".

Bailey also said: "I just think that the fact (is the) free Britney movement may not have done her any favours."

When asked about what he thought going into working with her, he said: "I sensed a disconnect between the way she was treated in the media, and the work she was doing.

"I felt that albums, like Blackout and Circus. I thought they were masterpieces.

"So I couldn't, I couldn't quite get…It was just (it) seemed so weird to me that there was this sort of critical pile on, you know, negative attention."

He added that discovering during the documentary that she was "a normal person" was a revelation.

Bailey said he "didn't get" the same conclusion as the filmmakers of Framing Britney Spears, which examines her treatment at the hands of the media and led to renewed interest in her conservatorship.

Spears, who did not authorise the programme, later said she did not "watch the documentary" but what she has seen of it left her "embarrassed by the light they put me in".

Speaking about his World of Wonder (Wow) produced documentary that was authorised by Spears, Bailey also said: "When we made (our documentary), she did seem to have a good relationship with her parents and manager and that's not to say that… there could well have been tensions underneath that we didn't see."

Bailey co-founded Wow, which created multiple Emmy-award winning reality TV show Ru Paul's Drag Race, with Randy Barbato, and has also released a book about his work in TV.

He said: "People are infinitely varied and drag celebrates that Drag Race celebrates that, but variety, and makes everybody feel welcome and included and television is the sort of delivery device of that idea.

"It's a really important idea in terms of who we're going to be as a people in the future and I think you're seeing I think we're seeing a backlash to that right now in the states."

Bailey's book ScreenAge: How TV Shaped Our Reality From Tammy Faye To RuPaul's Drag Race was released on March 28.

Britney Spears Says ‘Remember Boundaries’ Posing In A Braless Pink Dress

Singer Britney Spears got a little sarcastic in her latest Instagram post when she said that she has "never" been bullied.

The 41-year-old pop star took to social media on Sunday night to share a post reminding her followers to respect other people's boundaries while putting on a nippy display in her braless pink dress.

In her latest Instagram post, the "Toxic" singer shared a 12-second clip that featured her standing outside in a long-sleeve pink dress with a revealing neckline. It is clear that she isn't wearing a bra underneath the dress as she accessorized her look with pointed white boots and gold chain necklaces.

"In a world where women are so incredibly sensitive it's extremely important to pace ourselves with balance, otherwise our emotions can take over and we listen to our emotional side … balance and BOUNDARIES is such a wonderful word for being clean clean and healthy healthy," she wrote in the caption.

"In a world where the percent of bullying is at its highest it is important to listen to the way we all speak to each other," she went on. "I was always told happy girls are always the prettiest … but now if you are happy that's extremely uncool … two of my girlfriends have kids at school and it's shocking how mean people can be !!!"

"See, I've been blessed … I've NEVER HAD A PROBLEM WITH PEOPLE HURTING MY FEELINGS or DEMORALIZING ME OR GOING LOWER THAN LOW !!!" Britney added sarcastically. "People thankfully have always been up to my expectations … REMEMBER BOUNDARIES !!!"

Although the post got 99,000 likes within twelve hours of posting, Britney has turned comments off on her latest posts. She used to leave comments on her TikTok videos, but she has turned those comments off as well.

Will Britney Discuss 'Boundaries' In Her New Memoir? Britney Spears is 'pretty in pink' in a pink dressInstagram | Britney Spears

Earlier this month, fans of the "Hold Me Closer" singer were delighted to learn that her new memoir was going to be coming out this fall, even if no title has been attached to the project yet. The news was first reported by Page Six, with inside sources telling the outlet that the memoir is "inspiring" and likely to be an "instant best-seller."

"Britney's book is a story of triumph. It will cover her most vulnerable moments, her childhood – being a little girl with big dreams – her break-up with Justin Timberlake, the moment she shaved her head, and her battle with her family over her conservatorship," one source claimed, adding, "It is also a story of survival, finding her way out of the crippling conservatorship to finding happiness with her husband Sam Ashgari."

Ghostwriter Sam Lansky, who has previously profiled Hollywood stars like Adele and Madonna, also helped the "Oops!…I Did It Again" singer craft the memoir. The publisher, Simon & Schuster, is reportedly "thrilled" with the manuscript so far. When the book deal was first announced, it was estimated to be worth around $15 million dollars.

This would make it the most expensive book deal in history, worth even more than the publishing deals signed by Barack and Michelle Obama. Although Britney's memoir has been hyped by insiders, the singer has done little to no promotion about her new memoir, potentially due to the legal revisions that are being done on the book prior to its release.

That being said, sources who have seen the manuscript have nothing but love for Britney's new book. "Britney's book is brutally honest and from the heart. No stone is left unturned," one source claimed. "It's truly a female empowerment story – her taking control of her life."

Another insider called her memoir "a gift," adding, "There are parts of this book that every person—particularly every woman—can relate to and feel less alone. She transforms joy and pain into something transcendent: art."

"This is an inspiring read, not only because it shows the strength of Britney's spirit, but because her story is told with such style, wit, intelligence, honesty, and without any self-pity," they continued. "She is entirely winning in these pages." They said that the book will "shake the world," adding, "I believe that it will also be a groundbreaking instant bestseller."

Britney Spears - A sweet and shy revelation - Director Fenton Bailey shares insight into the pop Star's true nature

In a revealing interview, Fenton Bailey, the director behind Britney Spears' documentary, I Am Britney Jean, shed light on the pop star's true personality. Contrary to her public image, Bailey described Spears as a "sweet, normal, and shy" individual during their time together while she was releasing her 2013 album, Britney Jean, and embarking on her Las Vegas residency.

Bailey's documentary provided a unique glimpse into the life of the pop icon, capturing her authenticity behind the scenes. He expressed his surprise at discovering that Spears was a "normal, boring person," using endearing terms such as "sweet and lovely" to describe her. According to Bailey, Spears admitted to being shy and caring about others' opinions, emphasizing her thoughtful nature.

Throughout her career, Spears faced a complex legal arrangement that granted her father, Jamie, control over her personal freedom and finances. However, in November 2021, after a 13-year legal battle, a judge in Los Angeles terminated the conservatorship, a significant victory for the 41-year-old singer. Fans passionately rallied behind her, often appearing outside the court with signs demanding her freedom in the "Free Britney" movement.

Bailey also shared his perspective on the impact of the "Free Britney" movement, suggesting that it may not have been entirely beneficial for Spears. Reflecting on his experience working with her, he acknowledged a disconnect between the media's treatment of her and the remarkable work she produced, citing albums like Blackout and Circus as "masterpieces." Bailey found it perplexing how she faced critical backlash and negative attention.

The director's documentary, authorized by Spears herself, aimed to present a genuine portrayal of the pop star's life. Bailey revealed that during filming, he observed a positive relationship between Spears, her parents, and her manager. However, he acknowledged that underlying tensions may have existed beneath the surface.

As the story of Britney Spears continues to captivate the public, revelations like these bring a new understanding of the challenges she has faced and the strength she has exhibited throughout her career.

Britney Spears Dropped 7 Instagram Posts Yesterday That Included An F-Bomb, Crop Tops And A Flexible Baby

britney spears performing at the Apple Music Festival in 2016

I think it would be fair to say that, over the past several years, Britney Spears has had an intriguing relationship with social media. She clearly enjoys using it, and has gone online to do everything from share videos of her dancing in bikini bottoms and crop tops that go viral and clips that show her without her wedding ring, to using her favorite sites to make a number of allegations against others in the Spears family. Lately, though, she's been on a spree of more cheeky posts, and dropped seven just yesterday that include a F-bomb, crop tops and one incredibly flexible baby.

The pop star is famous for a lot of things, but something she's become very well known for over the past couple of years is deleting her Instagram and leaving when things become too much for her, only to reappear on the site within days (leading t o innumerable conspiracy theories). So, let's enjoy these posts while we have them, because she started yesterday's Instagram posting tear with one of the wildest videos of a baby I've ever seen:

OK! For one thing, the "Circus" singer is correct that this kid can likely no longer be bound by the confines of a crib, especially one that allows for such gymnastic feats as the one shown to be performed on it. All the clip is missing is an Olympic-worthy dismount onto the floor, whereupon the child will then run (crawl?) right out of the bedroom door a nd, I'm guessing, into a job where they probably make some pretty nice money. Good for you, baby!

Many of the star's posts tend to involve herself or her husband, but she's also known for simply showing her followers things that she likes, and it's clear that this is one of them. Such posts were a factor among the many things she dropped on us yesterday, with there also being an old photo of children playing and a picture of Sam Asghari holding an ear-shaped piece of lettuce up to his head present in her offerings.

However, Spears' fans know that she loves to engage in some NSFW posting on occasion, and has shown off her body in a number of posts over the years (which it sounds like Asghari would prefer she didn't do), but her recent spree saw her go a different route that she also enjoys, where there's a tame photo, but a bit of some saucy language:

Alright, this is a pretty obvious, F-bomb added reference to her first mega-hit, "...Baby One More Time," but it's anyone's guess as to what prompted this, or what the photo has to do with her caption. Is Spears saying that she's like a lady-Sherlock looking for signs everywhere? Is this even her in the photo? Someone help a sister out!

The Crossroads star wasn't quite so mysterious in two of her other posts, which featured Spears in two different poses in the same outfit of tiny black shorts and a cute, white crop top with see through sleeves that appear to be adorned with little butterflies, as she holds a red rose:

This is totally fitting, as the singer also adores showing off the clothes that she loves, sometimes in a series of very similar posts (as with a particular red dress). If one thing is almost 100% certain, it's that Spears will continue to gift the world with a number of captivating social media posts when the mood strikes.

Rihanna Just Wore More Denim Than Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake Combined

Rihanna always gives 100% when it comes to serving a look, and her latest outfit was no exception.

The singer-turned-entrepreneur and fashion icon showed up at CinemaCon in Las Vegas Thursday to promote the upcoming Smurfs movie, in which she was cast as the voice of the iconic Smurfette. Currently in the third trimester of her second pregnancy, Rihanna took the stage in a head-to-toe denim look that would give 2001-era Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake a run for their money.

The outfit, a look from Y/Project's Fall 2023 runway, consists of an oversized stonewash denim cape-dress and matching jeans with what appear to be hip-high slouch denim boots. For a touch of sparkle, Rihanna paired the look with a diamond choker and matching bejeweled earrings, her hair was styled in an elegant wavy up-do, adding a touch of glamour to the overall look.

"I tried to get the Papa Smurf role but it didn't work out," Rihanna reportedly joked while on stage. According to Variety, Rihanna will star, write and record original songs for the upcoming project (finally, that long-awaited new music).

"The Smurfs Movie" is set to hit theaters on Feb. 14, 2025, directed by Chris Miller and Matt Landon.

Britney Spears is finally setting the record straight for what promises to be one of the most fascinating memoirs in modern history.

The world has followed Britney and her dramatic life, including a 13-year-long conservatorship for nearly three decades.

The singer won the hearts of millions, and now, fans will get a glimpse behind the velvet curtain.

As Monsters and Critics reported, Britney signed a deal with publishing house Simon & Schuster for the largest agreement in history, second to Barack Obama's for The Audacity of Hope.

However, a paper shortage allegedly slowed down the timeline for Britney's work.

With supply chains on the slow road to recovery, Britney's story might be right around the corner.

According to well-placed sources, Britney has completed her book and will touch on intriguing topics like her relationship with Justin Timberlake.

Britney Spears finishes her brutally honest memoir

Three months after being freed from a 13-year-long conservatorship, Britney inked a book deal for a reported $15 million.

For those unfamiliar with the concept, a conservatorship has legal ramifications, deeming an individual incapable of managing their own affairs. In Britney's case, her father, Jamie Spears, reportedly maintained an iron grip over her finances, health decisions, and personal relationships. Reports speculated that Britney could not drive or own a cell phone.

With her newfound freedom, Britney teamed up with acclaimed ghostwriter Sam Lansky to help tell her story in print form.

Page Six reported that Jamie Lynn Spears and her January 2022 Call Her Daddy interview prompted Britney to accelerate her memoir writing.

A source told the publication, "Britney's book is brutally honest and from the heart. No stone is left unturned. Its truly a female empowerment story – her taking control of her life."

To call Britney's memoir highly anticipated would be an understatement. After all, the #FreeBritney movement captivated millions and led to the dissolution of Britney's conservatorship.

Britney Spears' new memoir will be a 'groundbreaking instant bestseller'

As the veil of secrecy surrounding her conservatorship lifts, fans all over the world are eager to support her in reclaiming her voice through this powerful narrative.

The hype surrounding Britney's memoir is undeniable, and another source claimed it would be an "instant bestseller."

The source sang the praises of Britney, revealing, "This book will….shake the world. I believe that it will also be a groundbreaking instant bestseller."

As for specifics, Page Six reported that the novel would be in stores this fall. This strategic release date might make the book a hit during the holidays.

Right in time for Christmas, Britney's memoir could be the perfect stocking stuffer — if fans can resist the temptation of reading it beforehand.

Britney Spears' Fans Are Once Again 'Concerned' Over Her Mental Health After New Dancing Videos In A Skimpy Outfit: 'She Genuinely Needs Help'

Britney Spears has recently caused concern among her fans after posting two new videos of herself dancing erratically in a skimpy outfit on her Instagram page. The videos, which feature Spears, 41, wearing a snakeskin thong, have raised alarm bells among fans who are worried about her mental health.

This isn't the first time her devotees have been "concerned" over her behavior, as she has posted several cryptic videos and images for her 41.9 million followers that have prompted worry for her well-being. With that said, let's take a closer look at the two videos she uploaded this week (note: she turned her IG comments off) and what fans think they might mean:

Britney Spears' Sultry And 'Strange' Instagram Dancing Videos: What Do They Mean?

On April 19th, the Grammy winner posted a video of herself dancing alluringly to a remixed song playing in the background. Her video was taken in her house, presumably, and she smiled while moving her body to the beat. She wore a fiery red, long-sleeved crop top with a low-cut neckline. The "…Baby One More Time" hitmaker showed off her sculpted abs in a snakeskin thong piece. To top off her outfit, she chose knee-high black pointed-toe boots.

The video featured several jarring jump cuts, proving that there were multiple takes put together. Spears almost never didn't make eye contact with the camera, another action that fans have called out as "scary" or "strange" in the past. She used three red rose emojis to caption her upload. One day earlier, she more a near-identical get-up, just with a yellow version of the same shirt.

Fans Have Mixed (But Mostly Negative) Reactions To Spears' New Videos

Since Spears took away the option to leave IG comments, some fans headed to Twitter to share their thoughts on her recent dance videos. "Okay, [Britney] genuinely needs help," one tweeted as another added, "I'm genuinely concerned about [Britney]." Someone else chimed in, agreeing and referencing one of the "Gimme More" singer's aforementioned video posts: "Something doesn't seem right with her".

One other fan added that they thought "[Britney] in her Instagram videos is an extreme parody of the need to be approved of your physique and the obsession to be liked on social media. I am very sorry." The user also added that they wanted "someone to help her" and stressed that they weren't trying to "make fun of anyone." On Reddit, as The Mirror reports, someone else commented, "There is definitely something not right. Poor Britney."

Others instead defended the "Toxic" singer, and stressed that she could just be dancing in the videos for "simple fun," and that there's "nothing to worry about." One tweeted in response to other fan reactions to the videos: "Let my girl Britney dance." Someone else agreed, adding, "Britney motivates me to dance. Great way to destress and work out!" Another replied, "I just love [Britney's] dancing vids."

One other fan wanted to point out that "everybody dances in their house like nobody's watching," and that it's "just that Britney has the balls to post it." On Reddit, as The Mirror reports, someone commented, "Leave Britney alone," recalling a popular phrase from the #FreeBritney movement.

Apart from dancing clips, Spears has also used her social media accounts to open up about the enduring pain caused by her 13-year conservatorship. Since being freed from the conservatorship (and pleasing the #FreeBritney movement in the process), Spears married her longtime boyfriend, actor Sam Asghari, 29, and returned to the music world in August 2022. Her latest release, "Hold Me Closer," is a collaborative reworking of Elton John's 1972 classic "Tiny Dancer," and features verses from both musicians. As always, we hope she's doing much b etter!

Britney Spears’ ‘Brutally Honest’ Memoir Will Detail Justin Timberlake Split: It’ll ‘Shake The World’

Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake © Provided by Hollywood Life Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake Britney Spears is reportedly ready to spill it all, including details about her romance with a very famous ex.

Britney Spears isn't holding back anymore. After breaking free from a restrictive conservatorship back in 2021, she's now ready to share details in her new memoir — including bombshell details about her relationship with ex-boyfriend Justin Timberlake. According to a Thursday, April 13 Page Six report, the long-awaited tell-all book is complete and will hit shelves this fall.  "Publishing insiders" for the outlet revealed that it's an "inspiring" and "groundbreaking" piece of work.

"Britney's book is a story of triumph," one insider reportedly told the outlet. "It will cover her most vulnerable moments, her childhood – being a little girl with big dreams – her break-up with Justin Timberlake, the moment she shaved her head, and her battle with her family over her conservatorship. It is also a story of survival, finding her way out of the crippling conservatorship to finding happiness with her husband Sam Ashgari."

Page Six reports that celebrated writer Sam Lansky has been her ghostwriter on the project, and it's set to be released through publishing giant Simon & Schuster.  "Britney's book is brutally honest and from the heart," the source said. "No stone is left unturned. Its truly a female empowerment story – her taking control of her life."

"This book is a gift….There are parts of this book that every person—particularly every woman—can relate to and feel less alone," a second source gushed to the publication. "She transforms joy and pain into something transcendent: art. This is an inspiring read, not only because it shows the strength of Britney's spirit, but because her story is told with such style, wit, intelligence, honesty, and without any self-pity. She is entirely winning in these pages." The second source added that, "This book will….shake the world. I believe that it will also be a groundbreaking instant bestseller."

Britney and the former NSYNC singer famously dated from 1999-2002, with Justin spilling alleged intimate details about the relationship and releasing a breakup song ("Cry Me A River") he said was about her. Justin's tactics following the messy split were called into question in the wake of a spate of documentaries about Brit and the 2017 MeToo movement.

The "SexyBack" icon subsequently issued a public apology for his handling of the breakup and the fallout from his 2004 Super Bowl "wardrobe malfunction" with Janet Jackson. "I've seen the messages, tags, comments, and concerns and I want to respond. I am deeply sorry for the times in my life where my actions contributed to the problem, where I spoke out of turn, or did not speak up for what was right," he wrote via Instagram on February 12, 2021. "I understand that I fell short in these moments and in many others and benefited fro m a system that condones misogyny and racism."

"I specifically want to apologize to Britney Spears and Janet Jackson both individually, because I care for and respect these women and I know I fail," he continued in the statement. "I also feel compelled to respond, in part, because everyone involved deserves better and most importantly, because this is a larger conversation that I wholeheartedly want to be part of and grow from."

However, lawyers are reportedly pumping the brakes on the Oops!... I Did It Again singer's creativity as her father, Jamie Spears, prepares "to take action if there be anything that merits untruths or libel" related to his daughter's accusations of abuse.

Jamie's associates vowed that the patriarch won't "simply let his daughter write what she wants about him and destroy his reputation."

A friend of Britney's dad told The Sun that "the legal team at the publisher knows Jamie is unhappy about what is coming and has charged his lawyers to take steps to prevent untruths being told," adding, "It is down to the publisher's lawyers to decide what they will print and to leave out."

Britney Spears' Loved Ones Racing To Save Embattled Pop Star 'Before It's Too Late' As Her Behavior Has 'Everyone Concerned'

Britney Spears' 'Brutally Honest' Memoir Scheduled To Release In Fall: 'This Book Will Shake The World'

Britney Spears' Longtime Manager Allegedly Had 'Career Intervention' For Singer In Cabo

"Britney will not get to print and say what she wants," the Las Vegas-based source said, warning, "He is not simply going to take this all because his daughter said it. He is willing to fight to present his truth even if that means filing lawsuits."

Jamie is allegedly hyperfocused on stopping his daughter from spreading allegations surrounding her 13-year conservatorship — with his pals saying Britney's book goes way beyond free speech.

"Naturally, his legal team knew that this would be a very complicated case given the US' free speech legislation," the insider said, "but Jamie feels he has a right to question Britney's state of mind during the conservatorship.

"Across Europe, there are very different libel rules. And that would need to be taken into consideration."

RadarOnline.com has reached out to Britney and Simon & Schuster for comment.

Insiders described Britney's manuscript as "a story of triumph" that "will cover her most vulnerable moments, her childhood – being a little girl with big dreams – her breakup with Justin Timberlake, the moment she shaved her head, and her battle with her family over her conservatorship.

"It is also a story of survival, finding her way out of the crippling conservatorship to finding happiness with her husband, Sam Ashgari."

The Grammy winner's memoir is due out in the fall — unless the legal teams put a stop to it.

Britney Spears shakes a leg with old pal amid split rumors with Sam Asghari

Britney Spears, who is currently on a vacation mode with her longtime manager and friend offered a glimpse into her Mexico trip after fueling rumors of split with husband Sam Asghari.

The 41-year-old is enjoying on her tropical vacation to Mexico, as she keeps her fans updated on her activities via Instagram.

Taking to Instagram on Friday, the Piece of Me songstress shared a video of herself sawying in a neon green and pink bikini and floppy brown hat, with her longtime friend Cade Hudson.

The duo was seen grooving to Robin Thicke and Pharrell Williams' 2013 hit Blurred Lines.

This video came shortly after Spears and her husband Asghari sparked the rumors of turbulent marriage, and concerns regarding their current marital status started making rounds on the internet.

Amid split rumors, Asghari was spotted without his wedding ring as he stepped out solo on Thursday.

Meanwhile, Britney was also seen without her wedding ring on Tuesday, just a few days before Asghari appeared without his.

The couple's marriage came under scrutiny earlier this month, when the Toxic singer shared posts reminiscing the good times before her third marriage.

"Throwback to Mexico… before I got married … so happy and silly here!!!" she confessed to her fans. The caption did not go unnoticed by fans, who commented, "So she's not happy now?'

Britney Spears Threw Some Shade At Barbie As She Rocked Her Own Pink Dress

With Barbie coming to theaters this July, the favorite childhood toy is definitely having a moment in the pop culture space. Fans are rushing to shop the hottest Barbiecore looks after celebrities including Megan Fox have been seen looking pretty in pink. When it comes to icons, Margot Robbie may be portraying Barbie on the big screen, but Britney Spears is never to be outdone. The "Toxic" singer threw some shade at the idealized character while rocking her own Barbiecore look, in a long-sleeved pink minidress and knee-high white boots.

Britney Spears is known for showing off her different outfits, often spinning and dancing in her social media posts. Perhaps she's looking forward to seeing Barbie this summer too, as she's been manifesting those warm weather vibes with her photos featuring crop tops and colorful bikinis. Or maybe not, as she name-dropped the classic doll in a sassy caption accompanying a couple of pics she shared on Instagram:

The "Oops!... I Did It Again" artist would certainly have trouble convincing me that she's not that innocent, as Britney Spears smiled sweetly in her Barbiecore look, complete with white boots, as she posed in a beautifully manicured yard. That caption, though, screams, "It's Britney, bitch":

Barbie my ass 💋💋🌷🎀 !!!

I will say, it would be pretty damn impossible to cram Barbie's feet into those knee-high boots, so score one for Brit Brit.

Britney Spears' followers know that she tends to repeat outfits, and she actually showed off the same dress a week ago. In that post, she wore sunglasses as she adjusted the short dress' long sleeves, spinning to show off the complete look. In that case she seemed to be embracing the Barbiecore look, as she declared herself "PRETTY IN PINK":

She's not the only one who's loving the Barbie hue lately. Florence Pugh rocked another pink look just weeks after she "freed the nipple" in a see-through Valentino. (Coincidentally, Barbie actor Simu Liu — who plays one of many Kens — amusingly promoted the "free the nipple" movement by sharing a screenshot of his character's peek-a-boo moment in a low-cut tank top.)

Britney Spears' take on Barbiecore comes as the pop princess has apparently finished writing her "brutally honest" memoir, which will reportedly delve into her breakup with Justin Timberlake, her 13-year conservatorship and even her marriage to Sam Asghari. There's no doubt fans will want to hear what she has to say about all three subjects, especially with the public's current focus on her and her husband's wedding ring situation, after Spears and Asghari were both pictured without the important pieces of jewelry.

With Barbie hitting theaters on Friday, July 21, there's plenty of time for the singer to show off some more Barbiecore looks (or throw more shade). While we wait, you can check out our 2023 Movie Release Schedule to see what other movies are coming soon.

Ariana Madix has ‘never felt hotter’ channeling Britney Spears in sheer dress

A dress like this should wear a warning.

Ariana Madix sent pulses racing on Instagram Thursday as she shared photos of four sexy looks from a post-Tom Sandoval breakup shopping spree — and fans couldn't get over the Britney Spears vibes from one sheer 'fit.

The "Vanderpump Rules" star, 37, recently headed to Bloomingdale's to pick up a few new revenge dresses, writing, "as you may have heard, Bloomingdale's treated me to a shopping spree! obsessed with all 4 of these looks… i've never felt hotter! which is your fave?!"

Madix — who added the hashtags "#revengedressing," "#bloomingdales," and "#sponsored" to her post — struck a pose in a see-through, sparkling nude gown reminiscent of Spears' shimmery jumpsuit from her 2004 music video for "Toxic," pairing the style with equally crystal-covered Jimmy Choo platforms ($2,595).

"Omg 2 is giving Britney toxic!" commented Madix's "VPR" co-star Scheana Shay, while a fan added, "total Britney vibes and I'm here for it."

Along with her pop star moment, Madix sported several other standout outfits from the retailer, including a plunging, twist-front Mônot minidress ($1,495) similar to the strappy red style she selected for the upcoming "Vanderpump Rules" Season 10 reunion.

In the snap, Madix struck a confident stance outside the department store while wearing the fiery frock with matching Saint Laurent heels ($745) and a pair of gold Bottega Veneta triangle hoops ($650).

The blond beauty went for a softer look in another snap, strutting across the sales floor in a flowing lavender evening gown with a high slit.

Madix accessorized with the same sparkling Jimmy Choos and a stack of gold bangles, including an Aqua link bracelet ($49, originally $65).

In the last pic, the star — who made out with a new man, Daniel Wai, at Coachella last weekend — took the "no pants" trend for a spin in a black blazer layered atop a strappy black bodysuit and opaque tights.

She paired the sexy look with embellished Saint Laurent sandals ($1,390) and a pair of chunky gold hoops.

The Bravolebrity has shown off a number of sizzling looks since splitting from her cheating ex, including the aforementioned Mônot reunion look that Madix claimed would make Sandoval's "eyes bleed."

While the dramatic reunion has yet to air, the TV personality has been keeping plenty busy; in addition to filming a Lifetime movie, she's set to join "Dancing With the Stars" later this year.

As they say, success is the best revenge.

Celebrities like Kylie Jenner and Britney Spears are wearing these comfy sneakers everywhere — and you can snag them for 20% off

Our team is dedicated to finding and telling you more about the products and deals we love. If you love them too and decide to purchase through the links below, we may receive a commission. Pricing and availability are subject to change.

Just because a celebrity wore it doesn't mean it's great. However, in the case of HOKA sneakers, there's a reason the stars are constantly photographed in them and why you're probably seeing them all over your own neighborhood. They're incredibly comfortable, breathable and lightweight. Not to mention, the shoe brand's simple designs are great for everyday wear, from the treadmill to the grocery store.

The most popular style worn by celebs — including Kylie Jenner, Britney Spears, Emily Ratajkowski, Reese Witherspoon and even Harry Styles — is the Clifton. The HOKA Clifton is "light and plush for everyday miles," according to the brand. It's a neutral shoe, meaning it has a symmetrical bed of cushion that won't reposition your foot. Comparatively, HOKA's "moderate" level has features that make the shoe inherently more stable, like a wider base. A neutral shoe works for most people, whether running, jogging or walking.

HOKA

According to the product description, the Cliftons have the American Podiatric Medical Association (APMA) Seal of Acceptance, which recognizes products that have been found beneficial to foot health. So, while they're comfortable, you can rest assured that they're good for your feet, too.

HOKA

Luckily, if you like the style, HOKA marked down a lot of its Clifton 8 styles. The brand recently launched the Clifton 9, its latest iteration of the shoe, but the Clifton 8 is still a great choice — and it's 20% off. Take a look at HOKA's website to see all the color variations. But if you want the shoe that celebrities seemingly love, get it quick. Sizes for women and men are selling out fast.

The Idol's Teaser Trailer Is Giving Major Britney Spears Vibes

Jocelyn and Tedros reading © Eddy Chen/HBO Jocelyn and Tedros reading

It's giving Britney...

HBO recently debuted the latest teaser trailer for "The Idol" and it has the whole world talking. The brainchild of Abel Tesfaye -- more commonly known as pop sensation The Weeknd, and "Euphoria" creator Sam Levinson, "The Idol" is set to debut at the Cannes Film Festival. The series focuses on pop star Jocelyn (Lily-Rose Depp) as she navigates the complicated world of the entertainment industry. In a bid to become the number-one musician in her industry, she finds herself involved with Tedros (Tesfaye), a cult leader.

The teaser trailer shows Jocelyn and Tedros enjoying all the debauchery and excess that the entertainment world has to offer. The stylish and slick teaser is set to Britney Spears' iconic 2007 track "Gimme More" from her album "Blackout." While fans are pleased that "Gimme More" is getting a brief resurgence, some viewers can't help but see similarities between the series and Spears. "Lily Rose Depp's character Jocelyn in 'The Idol' looks very familiar," tweeted user @Britney_Remixes, sharing a photo of Jocelyn and Britney Spears sporting similar outfits. Another fan on the social media site jokingly suggested that "The Idol" is directly about Britney Spears. The comparisons certainly aren't unfair, as both Joyceln and Britney Spears are blonde, release the same type of music, and have a similar confident attitude.

"the use of 'gimme more' by britney in this trailer and the show is about a pop star being exploited in the industry," shared Twitter user @saintdoII. After years of being under the conservatorship of her father, Britney Spears became free in late 2021, per The New York Times. During the 14-year-long conservatorship, Spears did not have the ability to make her own personal and financial decisions. Despite her conservatorship, Spears managed to maintain her clout and fame as one of the world's largest pop stars. While it's unclear if "The Idol" will touch upon this, it will be interesting to see how (or if) Tedros takes advantage of Jocelyn and her natural talent.

Over on Reddit, the same thoughts continued about "The Idol" being influenced by Spears' cultural impact and personal life. "Using 'Gimme More' was a smart choice, now we have deeper context to Lily Rose Deep's character and the potential parallels to Britney Spears' career/position in the industry," posted Reddit user u/QTPIE247 on the r/PopHeads subreddit.

Some fans are even speculating that Spears is working on "The Idol" with The Weeknd. In a since-deleted Instagram post from 2022 (via Page Six), Spears shared a photo of her alongside The Weeknd and Sam Levinson. Is the pop icon working on the show? Only time will tell. The Weeknd recently teased an original soundtrack based on the HBO series on Twitter. Could the album feature a much-needed Britney Spears x The Weeknd collab? Let's manifest it.

"The Idol" hits HBO on June 4.

Britney Spears Is Mixing And Matching Bikinis And Crop Tops And The Cheeky Videos Are Going Viral

Britney Spears proved that she is in the summer spirit by showing off her cheeky looks through fun dance videos on Instagram. From her poolside colorful bikini pics to the video of her in a cheeky bikini at the beach,  the singer has always loved posting about her outfits and dancing. However, over the last three days, the "Toxic" singer has made it clear she is ready for the warm weather and summer vibes by mixing and matching bikini bottoms with crop tops, and the videos are going viral.

During the last three days, Spears has taken to Instagram to post Reels of her latest looks. The look that fans really seem to be loving is her yellow crop top and snakeskin bottoms, considering it has 7.4 million views and over 212 thousand likes. She's dancing to the song "Sauce" by Naïka while rocking the yellow look in this IG video, check it out for yourself here:

In a different Instagram video, Spears is rocking a bright pink pair of bikini bottoms that had fun ties on the side. She paired the fluorescent bottoms with a white crop top that had poufy sleeves and tie in the middle. While the singer is barefoot in this video, in another post, she wore the same outfit, but finished off the look with a pair of white boots. People seem to really be loving this look as the two videos combined have well over 6 million views. Overall, I think these looks are giving major Y2K energy, which is very on trend at the moment, and it seems like Britney Spears is loving life in these trendy looks.

She's totally right with her caption here, the look is "very CUTE," and the perfect summer fit.

Spears is known for posting multiple videos and photos of the same looks she loves. For example, she uploaded five different posts about the same red dress and she also had a set of four videos that all featured the same blue dress. I feel like whenever she's really feeling a look, like she seems to be with the crop top and bikini bottoms, that's when she'll post these little series of similar (or the same) looks.

In this case, she finished off her crop top and bikini bottom looks with a red top that ties in the back and the same snakeskin bottoms from the yellow outfit, and completed the look with a pair of black boots. Personally, this is my favorite of the three fits because of the bright red top, it's so fun, and screams summer. You can check out her IG post about the red look, which has amassed nearly 4 million views, here:

With summer quickly approaching, Spears isn't the only celeb showing off her fabulous bikini looks. Since Coachella was last weekend, Camila Cabello shared a bikini photo after being spotted kissing Shawn Mendes. She looked amazing in the brown two-piece, and it seemed like the perfect outfit for a hot day in Palm Springs. Meanwhile, other A-Listers have made it clear that this is the year of the black bikini as Halle Berry, Sydney Sweeney, Irina Shayk and more were all spotted rocking the classic swim look.

All these posts, from both Britney Spears and other celebs, of their cheeky and fun swim looks really made me realize summer is right around the corner. So, considering just how many people saw and loved the "Oops!...I did It Again" singer's looks, it seems like many are ready to rock the crop top/bikini bottoms combo and dance in the summer heat.

Britney Spears's "Brutally Honest" Memoir Could Be On Shelves Before the Holidays

Sources say she'll address everything from her conservatorship to her relationship with Justin Timberlake.

Britney Spears is set to top another chart: the bestseller list. Sources close to the superstar singer say that her previously announced memoir is done and dusted — and set to take the world by storm when it's released later this year. Though no official date has been shared just yet, many presume that Spears's book will be available before the holidays and address everything, from her past relationships to the tumultuous times between Justin Timberlake and her recent court victory, which saw her removed from a conservatorship controlled by her father, Jamie Spears.

"Britney's book is a story of triumph. It will cover her most vulnerable moments, her childhood – being a little girl with big dreams – her breakup with Justin Timberlake, the moment she shaved her head, and her battle with her family over her conservatorship," a source told Page Six.

Though there aren't many details just yet, the source added, "It is also a story of survival, finding her way out of the crippling conservatorship to finding happiness with her husband Sam Ashgari."

Page Six also shared that Spears worked with ghostwriter Sam Lansky, who previously had work published by The Atlantic, New York Magazine, and Time. Lansky has covered some of the biggest names in the music industry, including Madonna, Nicki Minaj, and Adele. Spears's book is set to be published by Simon & Schuster (with a rumored $15 million deal sealed by Creative Artists Agency and Spears's lawyer Mathew Rosengart) and sources in the publishing world say that fans won't be disappointed with it. Currently, it's under legal review before it can go to print.

A source added, "Britney's book is brutally honest and from the heart. No stone is left unturned. It's truly a female empowerment story – her taking control of her life."

Story continues

Another individual close to the project explained, "This book is a gift ... There are parts of this book that every person — particularly every woman — can relate to and feel less alone. She transforms joy and pain into something transcendent: art. This is an inspiring read, not only because it shows the strength of Britney's spirit, but because her story is told with such style, wit, intelligence, honesty, and without any self-pity. She is entirely winning in these pages."

Of course, with a huge name like Britney Spears attached to it, there's almost a guarantee that it'll be a major seller, something that the source confirmed, saying, "This book will ... shake the world. I believe that it will also be a groundbreaking instant bestseller."

‘The Idol’ Goes Full-on 2007 Britney Spears in Raunchy New Teaser

HBO

The last time we heard any rumblings about The Idol—creator Sam Levinson's upcoming HBO show, plagued with misfortune since its announcement—the show's star, The Weeknd, was firing back at a Rolling Stone exposé about the production's turmoil.

The Idol co-stars Lily-Rose Depp as the titular, monolithic pop diva, Jocelyn, whose burgeoning career is taken to teetering new heights when The Weeknd's character enters her orbit. The Weeknd, whose real name is Abel Tesfaye, plays an enigmatic but toxic producer/self-help guru named Tedros, who alienates Jocelyn from the rest of her team when he and the pop star get into a tumultuous relationship. Rolling Stone called the show "twisted torture porn," detailing horrific, scripted scenes of sexual assault and domestic violence, which were reportedly later cut from the show's final production.

After releasing more teaser trailers than any show or movie under the sun, The Idol has dropped its latest—and final—teaser, giving us a dramatic new look at what audiences were rallying against just a few weeks ago. And if you're nostalgic for the chaos of 2007-era pop culture, hold onto your hat.

The teaser opens with Depp's character sprawled out on a couch during a photo shoot, clad in a red silk robe, and smoking a cigarette. "When was the last truly fucking nasty, nasty, bad, pop girl?" asks co-star Troye Sivan's character, whose role in the show is still under wraps.

Cue the instantly recognizable, hard-hitting bass synths of Britney Spears' "Gimme More," perhaps the defining song of late-aughts tabloid pop. The song is synonymous with paparazzi flashbulbs and censored upskirt shots of starlets, appearing in gossip rags the world over. It's clear from the teaser that The Idol is trying to transport us back to a time when those things were (disgustingly) commonplace.

When Jocelyn meets Tedros in a club, he tells her that she has "the best job in the world" and that she should be having way more fun doing it. Cut to drugs, debauchery, and a damsel who seems to get off on her distress. While that clearly presents a big question mark for a show that was already heavily criticized for its portrayal of an abused pop star who's an agent in her own mistreatment, The Idol seems prepared to inundate its viewers with shocking thrills nonetheless.

Story continues

The Weeknd Wants You to Know He's NOT Mad About That Damning Rolling Stone Report

The show has a major supporting cast, including Jane Adams, Rachel Sennott, Dan Levy, Moses Sumney, Hari Nef, and Hank Azaria, to name only a few. As Jocelyn descends further into darkness, each one of The Idol's stacked cast tries their hands at pulling her out. Sennott tries to justify a racy "selfie," with Jocelyn on her knees with her tongue out, and later attempts to tell someone that Jocelyn's a victim of Tedros' relentless brainwashing.

But trying to rally against what the show classifies as the "leader of a modern cult" has consequences.

Brief shots of Sivan being electrocuted in a dog's shock collar, high-speed car rides, push notifications of racy Jocelyn news, and plenty of drugs underscore The Idol's own desire to be the next big, controversial television event. And it's all in service of Jocelyn, who has no qualms about sacrificing it all for fame. "I want to be the biggest touring act ever," she says, over shots of her spreading her legs, slapping her own ass, and emerging to a crowd of thousands.

As Spears' glacially robotic voice repeats, "More, more, more," that's exactly what the teaser gives. There's sure to be heaps of tawdry excess to look out for when The Idol premieres at the Cannes Film Festival next month, then to the rest of the world June 4 on HBO.

Britney Spears puts an end to marriage-breaking rumours, uploads a video with her wedding ring

In a brand-new Instagram video, Britney Spears displayed her wedding ring with pride. The 29-year-old singer, now married to Sam Asghari, was dancing in what appeared to be her garden while sporting the beautiful diamond ring.

She matched her look with a pale yellow short-sleeve crop top, tan shorts, and brown heels. To which she added a necklace, pushed back some of her long blonde hair, and left the rest down as she grinned broadly for her audience and indirectly conveyed that all is merrier in her marriage.

Here is what made headlines about her marriage:

After returning to Los Angeles, California, from a trip to Hawaii with her manager, Cade Hudson, Britney was photographed without her wedding band, which in no time started generating headlines.

As viewers thought that Britney might be having a tense marriage with her husband which turned out completely opposite after she tarnished the rumors with her random dance post.

Britney Spears's marriage life with husband Sam

One month after Britney was released from her conservatorship, she married Sam on June 9. Since then, they have occasionally showcased romantic moments they have enjoyed at home or while traveling in eye-catching images and videos. However, they have also flaunted their own solitary posts.

Additionally, Britney frequently includes captions with her posts that reflect her views about various objects and circumstances. And Sam also talks about things that interest him- a marriage where each individual has space to grow sounds nothing but healthy, which the couple follows. Hence, with no doubt in our minds, everything is merrier for the couple.
