Singer Britney Spears got a little sarcastic in her latest Instagram post when she said that she has "never" been bullied.
The 41-year-old pop star took to social media on Sunday night to share a post reminding her followers to respect other people's boundaries while putting on a nippy display in her braless pink dress.
Britney Spears Puts On A Nippy Display In Her Braless Pink DressIn her latest Instagram post, the "Toxic" singer shared a 12-second clip that featured her standing outside in a long-sleeve pink dress with a revealing neckline. It is clear that she isn't wearing a bra underneath the dress as she accessorized her look with pointed white boots and gold chain necklaces.
"In a world where women are so incredibly sensitive it's extremely important to pace ourselves with balance, otherwise our emotions can take over and we listen to our emotional side … balance and BOUNDARIES is such a wonderful word for being clean clean and healthy healthy," she wrote in the caption.
Instagram | Britney Spears"In a world where the percent of bullying is at its highest it is important to listen to the way we all speak to each other," she went on. "I was always told happy girls are always the prettiest … but now if you are happy that's extremely uncool … two of my girlfriends have kids at school and it's shocking how mean people can be !!!"
"See, I've been blessed … I've NEVER HAD A PROBLEM WITH PEOPLE HURTING MY FEELINGS or DEMORALIZING ME OR GOING LOWER THAN LOW !!!" Britney added sarcastically. "People thankfully have always been up to my expectations … REMEMBER BOUNDARIES !!!"
Although the post got 99,000 likes within twelve hours of posting, Britney has turned comments off on her latest posts. She used to leave comments on her TikTok videos, but she has turned those comments off as well.
Will Britney Discuss 'Boundaries' In Her New Memoir? Instagram | Britney SpearsEarlier this month, fans of the "Hold Me Closer" singer were delighted to learn that her new memoir was going to be coming out this fall, even if no title has been attached to the project yet. The news was first reported by Page Six, with inside sources telling the outlet that the memoir is "inspiring" and likely to be an "instant best-seller."
"Britney's book is a story of triumph. It will cover her most vulnerable moments, her childhood – being a little girl with big dreams – her break-up with Justin Timberlake, the moment she shaved her head, and her battle with her family over her conservatorship," one source claimed, adding, "It is also a story of survival, finding her way out of the crippling conservatorship to finding happiness with her husband Sam Ashgari."
Instagram | Britney SpearsGhostwriter Sam Lansky, who has previously profiled Hollywood stars like Adele and Madonna, also helped the "Oops!…I Did It Again" singer craft the memoir. The publisher, Simon & Schuster, is reportedly "thrilled" with the manuscript so far. When the book deal was first announced, it was estimated to be worth around $15 million dollars.
This would make it the most expensive book deal in history, worth even more than the publishing deals signed by Barack and Michelle Obama. Although Britney's memoir has been hyped by insiders, the singer has done little to no promotion about her new memoir, potentially due to the legal revisions that are being done on the book prior to its release.
Instagram | Britney SpearsThat being said, sources who have seen the manuscript have nothing but love for Britney's new book. "Britney's book is brutally honest and from the heart. No stone is left unturned," one source claimed. "It's truly a female empowerment story – her taking control of her life."
Another insider called her memoir "a gift," adding, "There are parts of this book that every person—particularly every woman—can relate to and feel less alone. She transforms joy and pain into something transcendent: art."
Instagram | Britney Spears"This is an inspiring read, not only because it shows the strength of Britney's spirit, but because her story is told with such style, wit, intelligence, honesty, and without any self-pity," they continued. "She is entirely winning in these pages." They said that the book will "shake the world," adding, "I believe that it will also be a groundbreaking instant bestseller."
