Former Disney star Demi Lovato will join fellow rehab alum Britney Spears as the two newcomers to “The X Factor†judges’ dais, according to media reports.
Simon Cowell, who will be returning along with L.A. Reid, ditched Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger earlier this year after disappointing ratings for the British import’s freshman season. E! reported last week that Spears was joining the show.
Lovato checked into rehab in 2010 for an eating disorder and cutting, and later said she was also diagnosed with bipolar disorder. Two years earlier, Spears spent time in a psychiatric ward and is still under the conservatorship of her father Jamie and fiancé Jason Trawick.
