Britney Spears Dances In A Bikini Instead Of Performing In Glastonbury

Singer Britney Spears did not perform in Glastonbury with Sir Elton John on Sunday night as many fans expected.

"Britney" started trending on Sunday afternoon after it was rumored that the 41-year-old pop star was going to perform "Hold Me Closer" with the "Rocket Man" singer; however, nothing was ever confirmed and fans found themselves disappointed when she did not appear.

It's unclear if Britney herself was actually aware of rumors that she was going to perform. She was pretty active on Instagram, sharing a video of Justin Bieber, a diamond peach, and a video that featured her dancing in a bikini.

On Sunday night, the "Gimme More" singer shared a video on Instagram that featured her dancing in a short-sleeve brown crop top that was tied in the back.

She also had a thin scarf that was tied around her neck.

She wore bright green bikini bottoms along with pointed black boots as she danced around in her living room, flaunting her sun-kissed tan.

Britney wrote her caption in Spanish: "Edición diferente a la de ayer !!! PS SONIDO !!!" which can be translated as "Different edition to yesterday !!! PS SOUND !!!"

She later shared a video of Justin Bieber's "Honest" featuring Don Toliver. The video shows the Canadian pop star shirtless by the pool.

In the caption, Britney outed herself as a fan of the singer, writing, "I like his song !!! 🙄🙄🙄."

Earlier on Sunday, she shared a photo of a Diamond Peach, although fans aren't sure what it was supposed to mean.

That being said, Britney does like to share art that she's fond of on Instagram.

Fans were extremely disappointed that Britney was not performing in Glastonbury as they had hoped.

Some fans were extremely disappointed that Britney never actually showed up, despite their hopes.

They weren't the only one that was upset. Another fan shared a GIF of Britney crying, adding, "All of us Britney Spears fans right now who have endured over 2 hours of Elton John to hopefully see Britney perform but it didn't happen."

However, some individuals were incredulous that they thought Britney was even going to show up at all.

Although fans didn't get to see Britney perform, those in New York City can still enjoy a play based on her music called "Once Upon A One More Time" on Broadway!
