On June 13, Kim Zolciak's lawyer released a statement to People magazine alleging that the "Real Housewives of Atlanta" alum's estranged husband, Kroy Biermann, emotionally abused her for years: "The emotional and mental abuse Kim has suffered from this man for so many years has taken a toll on her and, most heartbreakingly, their children," the lawyer said. The reality star and the former professional football player have been fighting for custody of their four minor children. (Kroy adopted Kim's two older daughters from previous relationships, but they're both adults now.)
Earlier on June 13, People reported that in new legal documents as part of their increasingly nasty divorce, Kroy alleged that Kim speaks to him "in a derogatory tone" and uses "abusive profane, and threat-laden language" in front of their kids. He also claimed that she fails to "pay adequate attention to the children" due to her alleged gambling addiction. He claims that since they called it quits, he's "picked up all the slack" where their kids are concerned -- like "cleaning the home, picking up after the children, preparing their meals," etc. The duo filed to legally end their union in May following more than a decade of marriage.
