Justin Timberlake has experienced the ultimate comeback as his latest tour has sold out across the US with further date sadded, and it's looking like he might extend it to Australia in 2025
Justin Timberlake overcomes Britney memoir backlash as he wows fans at sold-out tourJustin Timberlake has appeared to move past his recent years of bad press and backlash as his latest sold-out tour has wowed fans.
The former NSYNC band member had a spectacular fall from grace following ex girlfriend Britney Spears' memoir being released, which detailed her relationship with Timberlake. In the best-selling book, Spears claimed that Timberlake had urged her to get an abortion, cheated on her, and used their breakup to launch his solo career.
Yet with his new Forget Tomorrow World Tour which has seen him perform across the US at sold out venues in the 86 date tour, the star has seemed to win back fans and critics alike. The tour is doing so well, that there are rumours he could extend into Australia in 2025.

The high praise reviews are a welcome return for Timberlake, who's recent music had failed to perform as well as others in his solo career. His latest album, Everything I Thought It Was, was his first record since his 2002 debut Justified to miss the top spot on the Billboard 200, and also his first not to yield a top ten single.
The positive reviews come after Timberlake has faced negativity in recent years, both for his previous relationship with Britney but also for his part in being on stage with Janet Jackson when she suffered a wardrobe malfunction at their 2004 Super Bowl performance. Timberlake pulled back part of Jacksonâs outfit and exposed her breast, causing mass public outcry and an aggressive investigation by the Federal Communication Commission.

In a statement posted to his Instagram in 2021, Timberlake told fans: "Iâve seen the messages, tags, comments, and concerns and I want to respond. I am deeply sorry for the times in my life where my actions contributed to the problem, where I spoke out of turn, or did not speak up for what was right. I understand that I fell short in these moments and in many others and benefited from a system that condones misogyny and racism."
He continued: "I specifically want to apologize to Britney Spears and Janet Jackson both individually, because I care for and respect these women and I know I failed."
He concluded: "I also feel compelled to respond, in part, because everyone involved deserves better and most importantly, because this is a larger conversation that I wholeheartedly want to be part of and grow from."
