Britney Spears says she deals with ‘severe sadness’ because ‘people say mean things’ about her online

Britney Spears said she deals with "severe sadness" due to rude comments about her signature Instagram dancing videos.

"I took the video of myself dancing down because so many people said so many mean things… if they only knew how severe my sadness is," the Princess of Pop wrote in a lengthy Instagram caption Friday alongside a carousel of several photos, including memes, a snapshot of her sitting on the beach without clothing and an image of her chest in a black lace bra.

"It is a f–king miracle from God that I played and danced, period. It is insane!!!" she continued.

Spears, 42, revealed she almost skipped her recent beach vacation because she was "sad" but loosened up once she saw the ocean, "the small little hotel that looks like an apartment, and the breakfast table inside the pool."

After listening to some "dark music" and Amy Winehouse, the "Piece of Me" singer said she "looked through her phone" and was disappointed to see so much hate.

"[I] was like Damn, there's so much I haven't even shown but it saddens me people say mean things about me," she penned.

The Princess of Pop said her sadness almost caused her to cancel her latest vacation. @britneyspears/Instagram Reflecting on the hate she gets, she added, "There's so much I haven't even shown but it saddens me people say mean things about me." @britneyspears/Instagram

Defending her dance videos, Spears added, "I'm so damn sick of people saying they are concerned and if you don't like the way I move, f–k off and don't watch it !!!"

The "Toxic" singer has clapped back at her dance shamers before — including Ozzy Osbourne.

Over the summer, the Black Sabbath rocker said he was "fed up" with seeing her dancing videos, and Spears quickly responded by calling him and his family "the most boring family known to mankind."She also told them "to kindly f–k off."

Osbourne, 76, reached out to her via social media afterwards and said he was "so sorry" but also gave her a pointer when it comes to her moves.

"It would be better if you didn't do the same f–king dance every day," he noted. "Change a few movements."

"Dance Moms" star Abby Lee Miller also mocked the Grammy winner at the beginning of the year, saying she was once a "great, confident and well taught" performer who now makes her "cringe."

In October 2023, Kathy Griffin also trolled Spears by sarcastically copying a clip she posted September of that year that showed her dancing with knives.

Reflecting on the situation while speaking to Jimmy Kimmel, the comedian, 64, said, "I fear the #FreeBritney people, I do, but sometimes, a person can be too free."

Spears has repeatedly defended her dancing over the years, saying on Instagram in 2021, "if you don't want to see my precious ass dancing in my living room or it's not up to your standards … go read a f–king book 📕 !!!!!"

Britney Spears' Bunny Mystery: New playmate steals spotlight amid renewed concerns for the pop star

Britney Spears' on-screen antics have her friends worried.Instagram, @brittneyspears.

Britney Spears has a new companion capturing fans' attention-and no, it's not a love interest or a cute pup. It's a stuffed rabbit she brought back from her recent getaway to Cabo, Mexico.

The pop princess was spotted clutching the plush bunny as she made her way back to Los Angeles on Thursday. Wearing a black hat and oversized sunglasses, Britney shielded her face behind the bunny, keeping her new friend close during her travels.

The stuffed rabbit even made a cameo in Britney's latest viral dance video, where she rocked out to tracks from her iconic Blackout album. Fans were treated to an energetic and chaotic display as she slapped her booty, twirled around her room, and struck playful poses.

The rabbit and his friends' worries

Despite the playful antics, Britney's behavior has reignited concerns from her inner circle. A source told InTouch that while Britney insists she's fine and wants people to back off, her erratic actions have some close to her worried.

"She shares these absurd videos for attention," the insider claimed. "Britney seems to want it both ways, doing wacky stuff and then complaining when people take notice."

However, those closest to the music star reportedly believe there's no serious cause for alarm, emphasizing that Britney is just having fun and expressing herself freely after years of living under restrictive conservatorship rules.

Everyone hopes the trip has helped her

The Cabo trip itself seemed like a rejuvenating escape for the star. Britney even teased fans earlier this month, hinting at plans to move to Mexico-though those plans didn't materialize. Still, the trip provided her with a new sense of freedom and a cuddly reminder of her adventures south of the border.

Whether it's dance routines, cryptic posts, or a stuffed bunny stealing the spotlight, Britney Spears continues to keep the world guessing. For now, her fans-and critics-will be watching to see what her next move might be.

Britney Spears worry his fans with weird dance moves during Mexico stay

Britney Spears announced early this December that she was relocating to Mexico to escape the relentless harassment from paparazzi. The pop star has chosen the serene beaches of Cabo in Baja California as her new home, seeking peace and privacy away from the constant media scrutiny.

She has faced numerous challenges in recent years, which have deeply concerned her fans. From legal battles to personal struggles, Spears' situation has been a topic of intense media coverage and public interest. Her move to Mexico is seen as an attempt to find solace and regain control over her life away from the spotlight.

Her mental health and frequent displays of instability have also raised alarms within various institutions and organizations involved. These concerns have led to increased scrutiny and intervention attempts, as many seek to ensure her well-being. Spears' erratic behavior and public struggles have only heightened the urgency for her to find a stable and supportive environment.

In a significant turn of events, Britney Spears will no longer be required to pay child support to her ex-husband, Kevin Federline, after 17 years. With their two children, Jayden and Sean Preston, reaching adulthood, the financial responsibilities tied to their upbringing are now being set aside. This change allows Spears to focus on rebuilding her relationship with her family.

For some time, the children have been living with Federline, but it was Jayden who had been estranged from the singer. Recently, reports confirmed that the mother and son have finally reconnected, bringing an end to their painful separation.

Does Britney Spears Want People To Back Off Amidst Concerns Over Her Alleged Erratic Behavior? Reports Explored

Here's What We Know About Britney Spears' Reaction To Claims Of How Is Britney Spears Responding To Concerns Of Alleged "Erratic Behavior" ( Photo Credit – Instagram )

Since the last few months, there have been several reports of people being worried about Britney Spears. Her loved ones, her team, and her managers are allegedly worried about the pop star as her "erratic" behavior does not seem to end. Recent reports have also claimed that her spending has also begun hurting her financial situation due to a lack of active sources of money.

The 43-year-old is now reportedly asking people to back off and let her live her life as she wants, especially after she finally got free from her decades-long conservatorship not too long ago. Here's what we know about the dramatic situation and how Spears allegedly reacts to it.

Is Britney Spears Brushing Off Erratic Behavior Concerns?

According to In Touch Weekly, "Britney is brushing off new concerns for her wellbeing and angrily insisting that people back off and leave her alone." The report states, "there are justifiable fears about her erratic behavior that are growing inside her inner circle." The videos posted by the pop star have only fueled questions about her mental health amongst fans and netizens.

Earlier this month, on her birthday, the pop star posted a video claiming that she had moved to Mexico and started kindergarten classes because she was now five years old. The insider alleged that Spears posted these "absurd videos for attention." They added that the hitmaker wants it both ways and "does all sorts of wacky stuff," and then complains about being noticed.

The report further claimed that Spears is checked on regularly and offered help if she wants it. What irritates Spears the most is how everyone online questions her and makes assumptions about her mental state, claiming "she's going off the deep end."

The source alleged that the singer is infuriated because "she swears that she's totally fine and is just finally doing whatever the heck she wants." The mother of two reportedly knows her fans understand and love her videos. She also has fun making them and doesn't get what all the online ruckus is about. Spears allegedly wants people to back off and leave her alone.

Britney Spears & Her Allegedly Poor Financial Situation

A previous report claimed that Spears has also been spending a lot of money despite no longer being actively involved in the music industry. It alleged that she does not have any other active source of income, either, which has not helped her financial situation at all.

While there has been no confirmation, her managers have allegedly begged her to stop. Though she has a biopic in the works, it's still pre-production and shouldn't be expected anytime soon.

Britney Spears Would ‘Love a 2nd Chance’ With Her Sons Jayden and Preston Amid Estrangement

All smiles! Britney Spears has recently reconnected with her youngest son, Jayden, and the reunion seems to have boosted her spirits.

"In many ways, Britney seems much happier than she was last year," a source told Us Weekly in an article published on Wednesday, December 18.

Britney, 43, has been estranged from her sons, Preston, 19, and Jayden, 18, since 2022 and they moved to Hawaii with their father, Kevin Federline, the following year. While the "Oops! I Did It Again" singer is reportedly still working on things with Preston, Us Weekly reported that Jayden is "open to mending the relationship with his mom and seeing where things go."

"They've been getting along great," a separate source told the publication, and mentioned that Jayden was currently living with his mom in California with plans to attend school there next year. "Britney's convinced they'll have a flourishing relationship in the near future. It's all she ever talks about. She would love a second chance with them."

The "Toxic" songstress has also reportedly been attempting to reestablish a relationship with her mom, Lynne Spears.

"Things with Lynne have been rocky [recently], but Britney wants to improve [their relationship]," a source explained to Us Weekly. "She misses her and gets sad about her family dynamic."

Rumors of a rift between the Crossroads star and her sons started circulating when Jayden and Preston declined the invitation to attend Britney's wedding to Sam Ashari in June 2022. A short time later, Jayden spoke out about his feelings regarding his mom, specifically the type of photos and videos she shared on social media.

Britney Spears Would 'Love a 2nd Chance' With Her Sons

"It's almost as if she has to post something on Instagram to get attention," Jayden said during an interview with ITV on September 2, 2022. "This has gone on for years and years and years, and there's a high chance that this is never going to really stop, but I'm hoping for me, maybe she will."

Britney shot back in a now-deleted Instagram post and said that she was "deeply saddened" by Jayden's comments.

"I say to my son Jayden that I send all the love in the world to you every day for the rest of my life!!!! My love for my children has no boundaries," the Grammy winner continued. "Keep playing your gift on the piano... You and your brother are brilliant and I'm so proud to call you mine."

A little over a year after Britney and Sam, 30, tied the knot, a source told In Touch that the former couple's relationship was on the rocks.

"Britney wants out of her marriage. A divorce is in the works. Even though she's pushed Sam to the brink with her erratic behavior, he would probably keep enduring it, but she's adamant," an insider exclusively told In Touch on August 16, 2023. "She's accused him of everything from spying on her, secretly recording her, cheating on her, talking to her family behind her back and other horrible things. She now thinks that Sam was always using her, that she was his meal ticket and that he never truly loved her."

The same day, Sam filed for a dissolution of their marriage, and on December 2, their divorce was finalized.

Britney Spears Posts Bizarre Videos ‘for Attention’ but Then ‘Wishes People Would Just Back Off’

Britney Spears is brushing off new concerns for her wellbeing and angrily insisting that people back off and leave her alone – even though there are justifiable fears about her erratic behavior that are growing inside her inner circle, according to a source speaking exclusively to In Touch.

"Britney is brushing off new concerns for her wellbeing and angrily insisting that people back off and leave her alone – even though there are justifiable fears about her erratic behavior that are growing inside her inner circle," the source says.

The embattled pop star has been acting strange of late – that can be said – but the question is how hands-on should Britney's friends be considering her horrific history with allegedly abusive conservator relationships and the often inappropriate scrutiny and speculation about her mental health?

On the singer's 43rd birthday on December 2, she posted a bizarre video in which she claimed to have moved to Mexico to start a kindergarten, and that she's now five years old. Last year, she made headlines reminiscent of the late 2000s when she appeared in another video dancing with knives.

The source says that there's nothing serious to worry about here, and that "she shares these absurd videos for attention." While that can be expected from one of the most famous people on the planet who has previously struggled with mental health issues, the insider adds, "Britney seems to want it both ways, and does all sorts of other wacky stuff and then complains when people take notice."

Britney Spears Posts Bizarre Videos for Attention' (EXCLUSIVE)

The people that now surround the mother of two are apparently trying to look out for her, but not overstep their boundaries. "Rarely a day goes by that Britney doesn't have someone reaching out to her to check on her and offer to get her help," the source tells.

But the real issue is "all the stuff online and in the media – everyone questioning if she's going off the deep end." The "Toxic" singer's downward spiral was widely publicized as she found dealing with fame difficult and faced constant demands from industry plants around her. She was in and out of treatment facilities for months following the death of her aunt in 2007 – which is when the shaved head business happened – behavior that ultimately led a judge to grant her father, Jamie Spears, conservatorship over her in January 2008.

The #FreeBritney movement picked up steam in 2021 after details of the singer's life gained attention. The conservatorship was suspended in September that year.

"Because we are caring, empathic humans, we're going to be concerned about someone − and that's OK," psychotherapist Stephanie Sarkis, who has not treated Britney, told USA Today of fans' desire to support and see the singer overcome her challenges.

But even rabid support, when combined with constant media attention, can feel suffocating, especially considering that Britney is just trying to live her best life, according to the source.

"It's infuriating to Britney because she swears that she's totally fine and is just finally doing whatever the heck she wants. She knows some of her fans get her videos and love them and she has fun making them, she doesn't see what all the fuss is about and wishes people would back off and leave her alone."

Are Britney Spears’ Managers ‘Begging’ Her To Stop Reckless Splurging Amidst Financial Troubles?

Britney Spears Urged To Control SpendingBritney Spears Urged To Control Spending (Photo Credit – Instagram)

Britney Spears has had a rather tumultuous journey in the music industry. From being the biggest pop star of the 2000s to relentless scrutiny and harassment by the media and the paparazzi, she has faced it all. Additionally, she was also stuck in a very long conservatorship. Thankfully, Britney can now live on her terms and conditions.

But the trauma of all incidents seems to have impacted her in various ways, including her need to spend more, which appears to be a way of her taking back control of her life. While it must be freeing for her to finally be the one running her own life, her spending is reportedly hurting her finances, and her managers are struggling. Here's what we know about it.

Are Britney Spears' Managers 'Begging' Her To Stop Reckless Splurging

According to In Touch Weekly, Britney has been having a hard time keeping her spending in control. "She blew a fortune on her recent birthday bash in Mexico, and that's just the tip of the iceberg," a source told the portal. They claimed that the singer's managers "have been begging her to slow down her spending," but she has ignored their advice and warnings.

The insider alleged that Britney accused her managers of "trying to control her like her father." This refers to the 43-year-old's conservatorship, where her father, Jamie Spears, used to have complete control over her life and finances. Ever since the termination of her conservatorship in 2021, she has been adamant about enjoying her freedom and splurging as she wants.

"She's refused to listen to anyone telling her no," the source claimed. The problem seems beyond her spending because Britney might be undergoing financial troubles with no steady cash flow. The source stated that when Britney was going on concert tours and topping the charts, her splurging wouldn't have been that much of a problem, but since she hasn't been very active in the music industry anymore, things were dire. There aren't too many sources of consistent or new earrings for Britney.

Is Britney Spears Going Through Financial Troubles?

The Criminal hitmaker earned millions after the release of her memoir, The Woman in Me, in 2023. It topped the New York Times Bestselling list and raked in a lot of cash for her, but "that's long gone," as per the insider. While she has a biopic in the works, there is no surety about how much that will earn and whether it will sustain her financially.

"Truth is, her money is running out, but she's still spending like there's a bottomless pit of cash," the source concluded. Meanwhile, Jon Chu, the director of the recent blockbuster Wicked, will be helming Britney's biopic.

Britney Spears' mental health worries again: She wants people to back off and leave her alone

Britney Spears is making it clear that she's had enough of public concern over her well-being. After years of living under the microscope of media scrutiny, the 43-year-old pop icon is now pushing back against fresh speculation surrounding her mental health. According to an exclusive source speaking with In Touch, Spears is growing increasingly frustrated with the ongoing narrative about her erratic behavior.

"Britney is brushing off new concerns for her well-being and angrily insisting that people back off and leave her alone - even though there are justifiable fears about her erratic behavior that are growing inside her inner circle," the source revealed.

Spears' mental health has been a topic of public interest since the infamous events of 2007, when she shaved her head and faced a highly publicized breakdown. This ultimately led to a 13-year conservatorship under her father, Jamie Spears, which ended in 2021 after a lengthy and emotional court battle.

Ver esta publicación en Instagram

The "Free Britney" movement played a critical role in highlighting her struggle for autonomy, and her eventual release from the conservatorship was seen as a landmark victory for the singer.

But even after gaining her freedom, the pop star's every move continues to be analyzed. Most recently, a bizarre Instagram video posted on her birthday, December 2, raised eyebrows. In it, Spears claimed to have moved to Mexico to start a kindergarten - while also stating that she's now "five years old." This follows last year's viral video where she danced with knives, a moment that drew comparisons to her 2007 breakdown and raised concerns among her fans.

Her inner circle is reportedly trying to support her while maintaining a respectful distance.

"Rarely a day goes by that Britney doesn't have someone reaching out to her to check on her and offer to get her help," the source stated. "The people around her don't want to overstep their boundaries."

Some claim that the unusual social media posts are simply attention-seeking, but the source sees it differently.

"She shares these absurd videos for attention," the source acknowledged. "She knows some of her fans get her videos and love them, and she has fun making them. She doesn't see what all the fuss is about and wishes people would back off and leave her alone."

Her attitude echoes sentiments shared by licensed psychotherapist Stephanie Sarkis, who, although she has not treated Spears, explained that public concern is often well-intentioned but can become invasive.

"Because we are caring, empathic humans, we're going to be concerned about someone and that's OK," Sarkis told USA Today.

Singer Britney Spears has a few different projects in the works, but right now, she just wants to focus on what makes her happy!

The "Toxic" singer was subject to a court-ordered conservatorship from February 2008 to November 2021. Now that she's free and supposedly single, it looks like her priority is her own happiness.

Britney Spears Reveals What She Does For 'Work'

MEGA

Fans who follow the "Crossroads" actress on Instagram know how much effort she puts into her dancing videos. A source told Us Weekly in May that these videos "keep her entertained" and she considers them to be "work."

In addition to her own jewelry line in the works, John M. Chu, the director of "Wicked," is also working on a biopic based on her bestselling memoir, "The Woman In Me."

One source told the publication that Britney is "excited about a lot of different projects" and even wants to open a dance studio to teach others how to dance. "That is truly a dream of hers and she talks about it often," they said.

However, a second source said that Britney just wants to take some time to enjoy her own happiness. "Britney lives a very low-key life. She's not career-focused — she only wants to do things that bring her happiness right now," they said.

Britney Is 'Looking To Date' After Her Divorce

MEGA

Britney started dating former personal trainer Sam Asghari after they met on the set of her "Slumber Party" music video in 2016. They tied the knot in June 2022, a few months after her controversial 13-year conservatorship came to an end. Unfortunately, the "Special Ops: Lioness" actor filed for divorce in August 2023, citing "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for the split.

The actor has recently started dating real estate agent Brooke Irvine. A source told the publication that this is Sam's first relationship after the divorce and that he is "really happy." They also noted that Britney "will always be a hopeless romantic" and "loves having a partner" so she is "looking to date."

The "Oops!... I Did It Again" singer has had an on-and-off relationship with her former housekeeper, Paul Richard Soliz, although they have not been photographed together since August and may have called it quits for good due to their turbulent history.

Britney Spears Still Keeps In Touch With Paris Hilton

MEGA

Despite living a low-key lifestyle, it appears that she still keeps in contact with her former friends, especially Paris Hilton. The second source told the publication that Britney "has a few close friends that check in on her daily," and one of those friends is Paris Hilton, who shares a son, Phoenix, and a daughter, London, with her husband Carter Reum.

"They text often and see each other every once in a while. Britney loves babies, so meeting Paris' kids was very exciting for her," the source said, noting that Britney "loves visiting" her friend's children."

Other than that, the source revealed that Britney is careful about who she lets get too close to her.  "Britney is close with her hairstylist and her assistant, but I don't see her hanging out day-to-day with anyone else," the first source claimed. "She [can be] all over the place, and very hot and cold — [she's either] on top of the world happy or crying because of a paparazzi photo."

"Britney is a happy person, but she does spend a lot of time alone," they added.

Will Britney Spears Reconcile With Her Sons?

Instagram | Britney Spears

Britney has two sons with her ex-husband Kevin Federline: Jayden James and Sean Preston. A source revealed to Us Weekly that Jayden reached out to Britney in November in the hopes that they can repair their relationship.

"He's open to mending the relationship with his mom and seeing where things go. Britney was very excited to hear from him; [it] means everything to her," one source claimed.

A third source told the outlet that Jayden plans to go to school in California and has been staying with Britney while looking at schools. "They've been getting along great," the source claimed, noting that this has also improved her relationship with Sean Preston.

"Britney's convinced they'll have a flourishing relationship in the near future. It's all she ever talks about," the second source said. "She would love a second chance with them."

Will Britney Repair Her Relationship With Her Mother?

MEGA

Although Britney has made it clear that she will never reconcile with her father, Jamie Spears, things have been a bit more up and down with her mother, Lynne Spears.

"Things with Lynne have been rocky [recently], but Britney wants to improve [their relationship]," one source told the publication, noting that Britney always feels anxious about the holiday season.

"She misses her and gets sad about her family dynamic," the source added.

However, Britney has been growing closer to her brother, Bryan Spears, and "talks to him often," especially after her divorce. At this time, it is not clear where Britney stands with her sister, Jamie Lynn Spears, although a source did say that the two sisters are hoping to make a fresh start one day.

Britney Spears drops viral dance video that's too fierce to miss

Britney Spears Lights Up IG with Her Most Energetic Dance Routine EverInstagram @britneyspears

Britney Spears is back on Instagram, and this time, she's bringing the heat-literally. The pop icon lit up social media on Wednesday with her most intense dance video yet, filmed during her Mexican getaway. Dressed in a neon bikini, Britney twirled, strutted, and contorted like never before, leaving fans both mesmerized and a little dizzy.

The clip showcased Britney in full form, delivering a chaotic yet captivating routine. From slapping her hips to flashing thumbs in her bikini bottoms, she twirled so hard she almost lost her footing. And in true Britney fashion, there were a few surprise elements-a stuffed animal made an unexpected cameo, and her expressive hand shapes had fans guessing their meaning.

Britney worries her fans with shocking revelations

The video, soundtracked by hits from her iconic Blackout album, felt like a throwback to the Britney we all fell in love with before her conservatorship era. Fans were quick to point out her renewed sense of freedom and energy, with many commenting on how her moves have become even more fearless post-conservatorship.

In the caption, Britney veered off from the dance itself to talk about her bikini and her hair-and to casually mention jet-skiing, which she said injured her hand. "New bikini, new hair, same love for dancing," she wrote, leaving her followers both entertained and curious about the jet-ski incident.

Britney's followers flooded the post with love and support, hailing her for embracing her freedom and staying unapologetically herself. "Queen of spins!" one fan wrote, while another joked, "This is the energy I need for 2024." The video quickly went viral.

The performance isn't just another dance video; it's a statement. Britney's passion for dancing has always been her way of expressing herself, and this high-energy routine shows that she's embracing every moment of her independence. The pop legend has been making headlines for her bold posts and candid updates, keeping her fans glued to her every move.

One thing's clear: Britney's still got the moves, the sass, and the freedom to spin as fiercely as she wants. And if this routine is any indication, we can't wait to see what she twirls into next.

It was a birthday to remember for Britney Spears. On December 2 — the same day her divorce from Sam Asghari was finalized — the pop star ushered in 43 with a trip to Mexico. In an Instagram post from her vacay, she filmed a video of a "very, very cute" small strawberry cake a friend got for her; in another, she wrote, "I'm so blessed!"

Spears has had a lot to celebrate lately, most notably her recent reunion with her younger son, Jayden, 18. (The "Toxic" singer and ex-husband Kevin Federline also share Preston, 19.) Sources say Spears is overjoyed to reconnect with Jayden while continuing to work on her relationship with Preston and her mom, Lynne. (The mother and daughter reunited for the singer's birthday last year, and Lynne, 69, wished her a "Happy Birthday" on Facebook on December 2.) Overall, Spears appears to be on an upswing. A source tells Us Weekly in the latest cover story: "In many ways, Britney seems much happier than she was last year."

"It's almost as if she has to post something on Instagram to get attention," he said, adding, "This has gone on for years and years and years. There's a high chance this is never really gonna stop." In response, Spears hit back in a later-deleted Instagram post, saying, "It deeply saddens me to know … I wasn't up to his expectations of a mother" and suggested Jayden "pick up a book and read one" before discussing her mental health.

By June of this year, they appeared to be on better terms. Federline's attorney, Mark Vincent Kaplan, told outlets the boys had called their mom for Mother's Day, adding, "The phone call was a good sign and a step in the right direction." Now it's a work in progress. Says the second source: "It'll take time. Britney hopes to continue spending time with Jayden and that Preston comes around. She cares deeply about her sons."

It's not the only reunion she's thinking about. The second source says Spears also hopes to continue mending things with her mom. "Things with Lynne have been rocky [recently], but Britney wants to improve [their relationship]," says the source, noting that Spears is feeling extra anxious around the holidays. "She misses her and gets sad about her family dynamic."  Spears remains tight with her brother, Bryan, 47. "Britney talks to him often," says the second source. Spears and her father, Jamie, ended their legal dispute — over claims he misused his authority as his conservator by paying himself $6 million — in April. While they have reportedly not spoken since her 13-year conservatorship ended in late 2021, a fourth source says Jamie, 72, has still been reaching out to her: "He's not bitter about how they ended things." Last June, Spears said via Instagram that she had visited her sister, Jamie Lynn, 33, on a set, and a source told Us that they were ho ping to make a fresh start.

    Friends and Lovers Chris Polk/FilmMagic

At home in Los Angeles, she has a small circle of friends. "Britney is close with her hairstylist and her assistant, but I don't see her hanging out day-to-day with anyone else," says the first source. "She [can be] all over the place, and very hot and cold — [she's either] on top of the world happy or crying because of a paparazzi photo." In a December 3 post, Spears blasted the paps, saying they have always been "incredibly cruel" to her and said she had moved to Mexico; in a video shared three days later, she told fans she was house-hunting there. "She wants to leave Los Angeles because she hates how paps take photos of her," says the source. "It's a big source of tension in her life."

There hasn't been a dull moment for Britney Spears since the pop star confirmed her split from ex Sam Asghari. After chronicling a night out with pals on August 20, Spears introduced fans to her brand-new puppy, Snow, three days later. That same afternoon, she was spotted driving a white Mercedes-Benz with a mystery man […]

The second source says Spears "has a few close friends that check in on her daily," noting that she's in regular contact with Paris Hilton. "They text often and see each other every once in a while. Britney loves babies, so meeting Paris' kids was very exciting for her." (In August, Hilton, 43, said Spears "loves visiting" her children with husband Carter Reum, Phoenix, who turns 2 in January, and London, 13 months.) Adds the source: "Britney is a happy person, but she does spend a lot of time alone."

She's open to dating. Spears was last connected to her former housekeeper, Paul Richard Soliz, who sources told Us she had been on and off with since around September 2023. (They haven't been seen together since August.) As for Asghari, sources say the exes — who split after 13 months of marriage in August 2023 — no longer talk. (The actor, 30, is now dating real estate agent Brooke Irvine. "This is his first relationship post-divorce," says a fifth source. "He's really happy.") "Britney will always be a hopeless romantic," adds the first source. "She loves having a partner, so she's looking to date."

She's keeping busy in the meantime. A source told Us in May that Spears considers her dancing Instagram videos "work," adding that they "keep her entertained." She has a jewelry line in the works as well as a biopic based on her bestselling memoir, The Woman in Me. "She's been getting excited about a lot of different projects," says the first source. She's especially passionate about teaching dance and wants to open a dance studio. "That is truly a dream of hers," explains the source, "and she talks about it often." The second source says Spears isn't rushing to do anything professionally. "Britney lives a very low-key life. She's not career-focused — she only wants to do things that bring her happiness right now."

Britney Spears on the brink of bankruptcy, claim managers

Britney Spears hit with new financial crisis

Pop star Britney Spears is reported to be on the verge of bankruptcy as her spending is spinning out of control.

An insider from the industry spilled to In Touch Weekly that the pop icon "blew a fortune on her recent birthday bash in Mexico".

The source revealed that Britney's money managers "have been begging her to slow down her spending".

However, the songstress hasn't paid any heed to their "warnings," and on top of that she "accuses" her managers of "trying to control her like her father".

The source noted that the singer's finances were in check during her 13-year conservatorship.

But after its termination, the Toxic hit-maker "refused" to listen to anyone.

The source believed that there was no financial issue when Britney "was doing huge concert tours and topping the charts".

But since she's not associated with the music industry, there's likely any potential for "new earnings".

The source mentioned that Britney's only earnings were from her memoir, The Woman in Me, which reportedly earned $12.5 million last year.

"However, that was long gone," said an insider.

So far, the only project of Britney in the pipeline is her forthcoming biopic.

"There's just no way to predict how much that will bring in for her though," stated an insider.

The source further said that even though Britney "is running out of money," she's "still spending like there's a bottomless pit of cash".

Britney Spears’ comeback will be ‘hard’ as insider says she ‘needs professional help’ amid bizarre posts

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Britney Spears' music career seems to be ending as concerns about her mental health have increased because of her recent bizarre social media posts.

A tipster shared, as reported by Page Six, "Britney is now far more of a cultural icon of the 2000s than a singer — and I fear that the industry has changed so completely it will be hard to make a true comeback."

They also explained that Spears' online activities have led people to believe she's severely struggling.

"Everyone worries about her, people love her. A lot went on behind the scenes that the people with good intentions, who were trying to release her from her conservatorship, weren't aware of," the source noted.

They asserted, "I think it's obvious she needs some serious professional help."

Another insider agreed with this sentiment and claimed to feel "sad" for Spears. "Everyone is rooting for her," the second source added.

Spears' career and personal life have faced a series of ups and downs over the years. She was placed under conservatorship in 2008 after she began behaving erratically in 2007 following her divorce from Kevin Federline and losing custody of their two children.

The conservatorship ended on November 12, 2021, after 13 years. The 'Oops!....I Did It Again' singer's first album after her conservatorship ended was a duet with Elton John called 'Hold Me Closer', which was released on August 26, 2022. The song was an immediate hit but currently she does not seem focused in her music career.

Britney Spears claims to have shifted to Mexico

Britney Spears turned 43 on December 2 and on the occasion she uploaded two videos on her Instagram. In one video she claimed she has shifted to Mexico from the US and in the other she claimed she had actually turned five.

"It's my birthday, I'm not turning 42; I'm turning 5 this year, and I have to go to kindergarten tomorrow," she mentioned.

She also claimed that she will now be living in Mexico because she was hurt by the American paparazzi.

The mother-of-two alleged, "It really kind of hurts my feelings that the paparazzi make my face look like I'm wearing like a white Jason mask. It doesn't even look like me."

"They've always been incredibly cruel to me, the paparazzi and pictures and the way they've illustrated me to be in some of it," she said.

"I know I'm not perfect at all, by any means, but some of it is extremely mean and cruel, and that's why I've moved to Mexico."

In a Thursday, December 5, video, the 'Toxic' singer revealed that she was still in Mexico and was doing "house hunting."

"This place is insanely beautiful !!! Thank you Jesus for a place so far away from America !!!" she noted.

    Britney Spears' decisions are 'fluid'

But a friend of Britney Spears said, as per Page Six, "Britney didn't actually move to Mexico … she was just having fun and being silly."

Also, Mark Vincent Kaplan, lawyer for Kevin Federline, Spears' second husband, added, "I think we've all learned that, when it comes to Britney's decisions, it's very fluid for her."

"I don't think you can put too much weight into it until you can see, after the fact, what's occurred," Kaplan added.

Britney Spears' spending is spiraling out of control, In Touch has exclusively learned. According to a source, the "Gimme More" singer, 43, is burning through cash like there's no tomorrow.

"She blew a fortune on her recent birthday bash in Mexico, and that's just the tip of the iceberg," says the source. "Her money managers have been begging her to slow down her spending. She totally ignores their warnings, though, and just accuses them of trying to control her like her father."

During her 13-year conservatorship, Britney's dad, Jamie Spears, controlled her finances, but since its termination, "she's refused to listen to anyone telling her no," says the source. "Sure, when Britney was doing huge concert tours and topping the charts, she could spend this way, but those days are over. She says she's done with the music industry, so it's not as though there's any potential for new earnings there."

The pop star did reportedly earn $12.5 million for her memoir, The Woman in Me. "However, that 's long gone," claims the source, adding that the only project Britney has  in the pipeline is her upcoming biopic. "There's just no way to predict how much that will bring in for her though," the source notes. "Truth is, her money is running out, but she's still spending like there's a bottomless pit of cash."

Britney Spears’ Sons ‘Would Like to See Her Forgive’ Jamie Spears: It ‘Causes a Whole lot of Anguish’

Yahoo is using AI to generate takeaways from this article. This means the info may not always match what's in the article. Reporting mistakes helps us improve the experience.Generate Key Takeaways

Britney Spears is getting back on track with her sons, Sean and Jayden Federline, but she's not ready to forgive and forget her other family members – especially her parents – a source exclusively tells In Touch, who says she's feeling horribly conflicted over how she should handle the situation and much more stressed about it than she's letting on.

The singer, 43, recently reunited with Jayden, 18, who she shares with ex Kevin Federline, in November. Last year, the two boys "consented" to moving to Hawaii with their father, according to Kevin's attorney, meaning linking back up with mom in Los Angeles is rare, but definitely a sign that they're on solid terms now

Though the same can't be said for Britney and her parents, especially father Jamie Spears, who the pop star accused of "conservatorship abuse" in September 2021, after a two-year legal battle to have the controversial conservatorship moved to her long time care manager.

In a deposition, she gave a horrifying account of a conspiracy by the people around her to force her into mental institutions and rehabs, recommend drugs to keep her docile and unable to "even stand up for [herself]," and control and violate her privacy 24/7. Britney ultimately told the judge that her father and coconspirators "should be in jail" for what they had done to her.

Jamie, 72, has denied allegations that he's harmed his daughter, insisting that his role as her conservator was for her own good, telling The Mail on Sunday, "I don't know if she'd be alive," without the conservatorship, in December 2022.

Despite everything Jamie put her through, the source says that, "in a perfect world, Britney would love nothing more than to make peace with her parents." But the pain is still sharp, and "it's not that simple, because she's still carrying a lot of anger towards them both, but especially her dad."

While forgiveness for her dad may be out of the question for now, "she goes back and forth on whether she can forgive her mom." Unlike her father, who's been iced out, Britney "does talk to her, and she has had some visits with her, but it's pretty sporadic."

"But as far as her dad is concerned, she's still totally closed off," the source confirms. "She has so much trauma from her years under his control and blames him for a lot of her issues. It's especially hard because her sons are still very close to their grandpa and no doubt would like to see her forgive him.

"He's a pretty sad old man and at this point it seems like he'll probably go to his grave with Britney hating him," the source says. "For his part, he feels pretty misunderstood, and still insists that he did what he had to do to save her life."

"It's all very sad and definitely causes a whole lot of anguish for Britney, but she's still at a point where she's convinced that she can't trust him, or her mom."

    [social_warfare]

Britney Spears has reconciled with her sons, but now, according to a new report, the pop star's children want her to make up with her estranged father, Jamie Spears.

Britney was trapped in a 13-year conservatorship, and her father, Jamie, was behind it all.

The conservatorship was finally dissolved but Britney turned her back on her father, claiming that he and other members of her family should be in jail for the way she was treated.

She is working on her relationship with her sons, Sean and Jayden Federline, and even her mother.

"But as far as her dad is concerned, she's still totally closed off," an insider told InTouch Weekly. "She has so much trauma from her years under his control and blames him for a lot of her issues. It's especially hard because her sons are still very close to their grandpa and no doubt would like to see her forgive him.

"He's a pretty sad old man and at this point it seems like he'll probably go to his grave with Britney hating him," the source added. "For his part, he feels pretty misunderstood, and still insists that he did what he had to do to save her life."

Why Did Britney Spears and Sam Asghari Get Divorced? Reason Revealed

Isn't it crazy to think that even the most promising relationships can fall apart? Celebrity relationships often seem like fairytales, but those stories often don't end like the Disney version.

The reality? The pressure of fame, public scrutiny, and personal challenges from being in the spotlight can break even the strongest relationships. And it doesn't matter how many years you've been together; marriages crumble for all kinds of reasons. Be it emotional distance or just plain burnout, when the whole world is watching, things tend to get a lot more complicated.

Take Britney Spears and Sam Asghari. After 14 months of marriage, the couple hit a breaking point, and in August 2023, the latter filed for divorce. Of course, it wasn't the fairytale ending fans hoped for, but it's also not entirely shocking.

Despite their dreamy moments, their relationship was constantly under scrutiny and you can only imagine the kind of pressure that adds. Nevertheless, now that they've settled after agreeing to terms from their prenuptial agreement, it's just a reminder that even years together can't always fix what's broken.

Real reason Behind Britney Spears and Sam Asghari's divorce

Following their divorce 14 months after marriage, Britney Spears and Sam Asghari have definitely shocked many fans. However, things were never as picture-perfect as they seemed. The couple who began dating in 2016 and tied the knot in 2022 were going through a lot behind the scenes.

    An insider revealed to People,

It's been very toxic between them for a long time. Their marriage has been on the rocks for months. There has been constant drama. It's sad. A divorce would be devastating for Britney.

Moreover, the former couple was under speculation after they were seen without their wedding rings. Although Asghari's team initially brushed off the ring rumors by saying he wasn't wearing it because he was filming, it became clear that their relationship was crumbling.

Did Britney Spears cheat on Sam Asghari?

According to TMZ, Sam Asghari allegedly confronted Britney Spears about infidelity rumors, which reportedly led to a massive fight and ultimately his decision to end things. But here's the kicker, there was no solid proof these claims were true.

A source close to Spears told Entertainment Tonight that the singer had been faithful and denied any cheating went down, adding,

Britney and Sam have split. She's adamant she didn't cheat. The two haven't got along for a while and it finally came to an end after a major blowup. She has been denying any cheating allegations and going through a lot of emotions.

It seems the real issue wasn't a single scandal but a growing divide between the two. TMZ further revealed that the couple had been experiencing "deep trouble" for months and Asghari wasn't sleeping much at their home.

Nine months after filing for divorce, Spears and Asghari officially finalized their split, marking an amicable end to their short-lived marriage. A source shared with People,

The divorce was amicable, and the prenup was not challenged. Britney is continuing to flex her freedom and is moving on.

The source also shut down speculation about her financial troubles, emphasizing that the reports are false and she is not "tied to any lease for him."

Britney Spears and Sam Asghari's relationship timeline

Britney Spears and Sam Asghari's story was full of love and care. The former couple first met on the set of her Slumber Party music video in October 2016, where sparks flew almost instantly. By December, the two were already fueling romance rumors, with Asghari making his Instagram debut alongside Spears.

Asghari quickly became a steady presence in Spears' life, especially during her most challenging moments. From her father's health scare in 2018 to her wellness treatment in 2019, Asghari proved to be her unwavering support system. A source close to Spears' family told People,

There is no question that Sam is great for Britney. He has a very positive influence on her. He is very motivated to stay healthy and fit, and they often work out together.

By 2021, Spears' conservatorship battle heated up, and like a true lover, Asghari proudly stood by her side, even sporting a #FreeBritney shirt to show his solidarity. The fairy-tale proposal came in September 2021, followed by a dreamy June 2022 wedding in L.A. attended by stars like Madonna and Selena Gomez. And Spears stunned in a Versace gown, walking down the aisle to Elvis Presley's Can't Help Falling in Love.

Though their romance seemed like a modern fairy tale, it ended in heartbreak.

Britney Spear is legally single on her 43rd birthday

The superstar singer who just turned 43 got herself a little extra birthday surprise courtesy of the California courts. It is revealed that Britney Spears is officially single again as of December 2, wrapping up her divorce saga with Sam Asghari. Honestly, it's been quite the year for Spears.

After citing "irreconcilable differences", Asghari filed for divorce and despite the drama, their breakup was "amicable." A source shared with People,

The divorce was amicable and the prenup was not challenged. Britney is continuing to flex her freedom and is moving on.

In October, she made waves on Instagram, rocking a wedding dress and cheekily telling fans she'd "married herself."

If that's not peak Spears energy, we don't know what is. Meanwhile, Asghari has totally moved on too. In a November chat with People, he shared that he's "absolutely" focused on the next chapter of his life post-divorce. The actor and fitness trainer has been keeping busy with work and has an exciting project lined up. He's set to appear on season 3 of the hit Peacock series The Traitors, which drops next month.

Danielle Fishel's Most Memorable New Year's Eve Involved *NSYNC, Britney Spears and a Tongue Piercing

    Alberto E. Rodriguez/Getty

It might be hard to top Danielle Fishel's New Year's Eve story.

While co-hosting a crossover podcast chat with Boy Meets World costars Rider Strong and Will Friedle of Pod Meets World, Full House stars Andrea Barber and Jodie Sweetin of How Rude, Tanneritos! and Step by Step stars Staci Keanan and Christine Lakin of Keanan and Lakin Give You Déjà Vu, Fishel was among the celebs to be asked about a memorable New Year's Eve.

"It was Y2K," the 43-year-old recalled of Dec. 31, 1999. "I was in Hawaii with the *NSYNC boys and Britney Spears."

Fishel was famously friends with the boy banders, and even dated Lance Bass for a time before he came out.

"All the girls decided to get their belly buttons pierced, and the guys all got tattoos," she continued. "But I already had my belly button pierced, so I got my tongue pierced."

When her co-hosts expressed shock — and the fact they never even noticed — Fishel said she actually got the piercing with the intent to "take it out the next day. I was never gonna keep it," she added. "I just was like ... it was part of the thing to do."

She added that she only wanted to try because she heard "you do not feel it at all" when you get your tongue pierced, and for her, "it was true. It is 100% painless."

Though to her it was inconsequential, the move was not okay with the star's mother.

"She had a deal with me when I was a teenager that I was allowed to get my belly button pierced as long as I promised her to never pierce my tongue," Fishel, who was 18 at the time, recalled. "I took it out, and she said, 'That still doesn't count. I don't care that nobody ever saw you with it, you went back on our deal.' She was really angry about it."

Even though it's been 20-plus years since the moment, "my mom still to this day is angry about that," Fishel admitted.

An infamous house with a dark past has been put on the market for a hefty price.

Located in the Hollywood Hills, the house is where the late Brittany Murphysuddenly died at the age of 32 on December 20, 2009. Murphy's husband, British screenwriter Simon Monjack, was found dead on the property just five months later, with pneumonia and anemia named as his cause of death.

The house has now been put on the market for the first time since 2020, according to a Zillow listing. The property was listed with former Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles star David Parnes, who is represented by Carolwood Estates, with the asking price of $17,995,000.

The space is currently listed as off-market on Zillow. The Independent has contacted Parnes for comment.

According to the description, the 9,400 square-foot property was completely renovated and refurbished in 2024. The home is described as "a former celebrity haven that combines warm, modern finishes with a layout ideal for both entertaining and everyday life."

The three-floor house has six bedrooms and nine bathrooms, along with a "grand dining area surrounded by 12-foot tall windows" and a "40-foot infinity pool" in the backyard. The house was last sold in December 2020 for $12 million.

The late Brittany Murphy bought the Hollywood Hills house in 2003 (Getty Images)

The Clueless actor moved into the Hollywood Hills home in 2003, after purchasing the furnished space from pop star Britney Spears. In 2009, she collapsed in the home before she was transported to Sinai Medical Center, where she was later pronounced dead.

Murphy's death was officially ruled an accident caused by pneumonia, anemia, and multiple drug intoxication. There were several theories about the safety of Murphy and her husband's home following their deaths, including claims of a mold infestation. Although those theories were debunked by deputy Los Angeles County coroner Ed Winter in 2010, Monjack's mother Linda later claimed that her son had "severe mold" in the house.

"All I know is that before Simon's death, he was having hallucinations that things were crawling out of his skin," she told the Daily Mail in 2013. "He was distraught and he was getting fatter and more bloated. He wasn't someone who took drugs; he was always too fearful."

Brittany Murphy's husband died in the house just five months after her death (Getty Images)

Spears also shared her theories about the infamous Hollywood home, according to her friend and former makeup artist Julianne Kaye. During an episode of Jen Zabroski's We Need to Talk About Britney podcast in 2021, Kaye recounted that Spears had called her about something "really weird" happening in the house.

"I had my friend do reiki healing on her," she explained. "He had come up; I guess she'd had a crazy partying weekend and needed to relax. He left, and she swears to God that he opened some spirit portal or something, and these bad spirits had come in… and they were trying to, like, push her down the stairs or something crazy."

Kaye said that the experience "was so bad" that Spears allegedly checked into a hotel and never returned to the house.

"She goes, 'I know you're gonna think I'm crazy. I'm not crazy. I know what I saw. I know what I felt,'" Kaye added.

One month after Murphy's death, her husband told The Hollywood Reporter that she "absolutely hated the Rising Glen house."

"Every time we would drive up Sunset, Brit would say, 'Please, can we stay at the Beverly Hills Hotel?'" he told the outlet in January 2010. "I'd say, 'Honey, you've got to be realistic. We have our house, a 10,000-square-foot home. We're going to stay in it.'"

The House Britney Spears Fled And Brittany Murphy Died In Is Now On Sale For Millions (Again)

It's been nearly 15 years since the death of Brittany Murphy, and some details on the actor's tragic passing remain unclear. It was reported in 2009 that the Clueless star died at her Hollywood Hills home after having collapsed. That particular piece of property is also linked to another starlet, as Murphy bought the home from Britney Spears, who wanted to get it off her own hands. Now, the house has been put on the market again, and it's being offered for millions of dollars.

The listing was posted after the most recent owners, who bought the home in 2020, decided to sell. According to People, the current asking price is $17,995,000. This posting technically represents the second time this year that the six-bedroom, nine-bathroom home has been listed and, now, nearly a million has been taken off the asking price. As noted by the outlet, the death of Murphy and that of her husband, Simon Monjack, five months later (also at the house) are still topics that swirl around the location.

In the early 2000s, the Crossroads star lived in the house and reportedly hasn't had positive sentiments to share about it. Britney Spears, who'd yet to break up with Justin Timberlake while living in the house, claimed she had a supernatural encounter of sorts in that abode. One may be tempted to wonder if any of the big stories Spears left out of her memoir involve her experiences with her past pad.

The "Toxic" singer is no stranger to being linked to supposed oddities and conspiracy theories post-early 2000s. One of the most recent is Kristin Cavallari's belief that Spears is a clone. The Laguna Beach alum shared that the singer did respond to the clone conspiracy assertions before allegedly ghosting her.

As for Brittany Murphy, she moved into the house after buying it from the Grammy winner for $3.85 million. To our knowledge, the late actress never spoke ill of the house publicly but, after her death, Monjack revealed she actively tried to avoid staying there. Following the Girl, Interrupted star's passing, her official cause of death was noted as being, "untreated pneumonia, combined with anemia and drug intoxication from prescription and over-the-counter medications, including painkillers and cold medicine."

The house aside, much has been said about the Sin City star's death. Her life and work were heavily highlighted a few years ago via the docuseries What Happened, Brittany Murphy? (which can be streamed with a Max subscription) Through the film, its director highlights her graciousness and positivity. Murphy's legacy also continues to live on through her work, with movies like Clueless and Uptown Girls now being watched by new generations.

It remains to be seen just how long the house that Brittany Murphy and Britney Spears used to own will be on the market. What is known is that it's been completely overhauled from the past design and layout. Hopefully, whoever calls it home next can start anew with its updated remodel and do with it as they please.
