Britney Spears Reunites With Rarely-Seen, Estranged Son for Holidays

Britney Spears is celebrating the holiday season with a heartwarming reunion with her son Jayden James.

On Christmas Day, the 43-year-old pop star took to Instagram to share a video of her reunion with her 18-year-old son, declaring in the caption, "I haven't seen my boys in 2 years!!!"

In the video, Spears beams with joy as she introduces Jayden to her followers, calling him "my baby" before planting a kiss on his cheek. The video cuts to a cozy scene in front of a Christmas tree, with Spears wearing a red dress as she and Jayden wish fans a Merry Christmas.

"Best Christmas of my life!!!" Spears also said in the caption. She expressed her joy, saying, "Tears of joy and literally in shock everyday koo koo crazy so in love and blessed!!! I'm speechless thank you Jesus!!!" Spears' also had the comments turned off on the photo, so fans were unable to comment their opinions.

This reunion marks a significant moment for the singer, who shares two sons, Jayden and his older brother, Sean Preston, 19, with ex-husband Kevin Federline. Following her 2007 divorce from Federline, 46, the pop star was placed under a conservatorship controlled by her father, Jamie Spears, for the majority of her children's upbringing. The conservatorship ended in late 2021 after 13 years, but since then, Spears' relationship with her sons has still faced challenges.

Spears and Federline had various custody arrangements through the years, with the boys primarily living with their father. In 2023, Federline moved the boys to Hawaii, a decision that Spears consented to, according to his attorney.

The "Gimme More" singer's reunion with Jayden comes just after Spears celebrated her 43rd birthday as a single woman, nearly 18 months after her now ex-husband Sam Asghari filed for divorce. Court filings made public on December 2 confirmed that Spears' divorce was finalized in May, according to reports from People. The couple was only married for 13 months, but they had been together since 2016 when they met on the set of Spears' music video for "Slumber."
