Britney Spears back in the spotlight amid controversy over latest breakup

Britney Spears' love life is once again making headlines, following reports of a breakup with Paul Richard Soliz—the man she had been in an on-and-off relationship with since 2023. 

According to Page Six and TMZ, the split occurred in late February 2025, marking the second breakup in a relationship known for its instability and controversy.

The connection between the 43-year-old "Princess of Pop" and 38-year-old Soliz began shortly after her divorce from actor Sam Asghari. 

Soliz, who was initially hired by Spears to do maintenance work at her Los Angeles home, quickly transitioned from employee to romantic partner.

Concerns about the relationship were present from the start, largely due to Soliz's criminal background. 

Sources close to the singer reportedly feared that he was taking advantage of her wealth—something Spears herself publicly acknowledged following their initial breakup in July 2024.

Despite the rocky relationship, Spears reportedly formed a strong emotional bond with Soliz's children—Trystan (10), Dylan (8), and Nicholas "Sonny" (6)—who live in separate homes under their father's custody. 

In early February, Spears was seen at an amusement park in California's San Fernando Valley with two of the children, while Soliz took the third to a dental appointment.

On Valentine's Day, the pair was spotted at a Jack-in-the-Box drive-thru, where they also shared an informal dinner with the kids. 

Reports suggest the children brought joy and warmth to Spears' home during a period when she was in need of emotional stability.

Sources Is the Breakup Final?

Soliz's move-out and the removal of all his belongings from Spears' residence seem to mark the definitive end of this chapter in the pop star's personal life. 

However, given the on-again, off-again nature of their relationship, a future reconciliation cannot be entirely ruled out.

Meanwhile, Spears' ex-husband Sam Asghari has continued to live a drama-free life. 

Since their separation, he has maintained a polished public image, appearing in brand campaigns and showcasing a well-toned physique.
