Britney Spears fans concerned after deleted social media rant over 'fake' friends

Fans of pop icon Britney Spears have been left concerned after she took to social media in an angry rant accusing her friends of being "jealous". The 43-year-old was seen to swipe at her "fake friends" for commenting and criticising the way she looks.

The Hit Me Baby One More Time singer left a clear and stern message on her Instagram on Tuesday, for people who feel the need to express their opinion on her appearance. However, this lengthy post has since been deleted from the star's Instagram account.

Britney - who was finally granted freedom from her 13-year-long conservatorship in 2021 - raged at those who had made comments about her messy hair, as she believes that she looks more beautiful than ever.

She also went on to slam the "fake" friends in her life who she said have recently changed their tune with her, reports the Mirror. Britney said that this was because they were simply jealous of her and her looks.

In an Instagram video, Britney started her rant by saying: "I feel so sorry for you guys. I thought my hair was beautiful and I do have a cold and it has affected my voice."

In a sudden change of topic, she then informed her followers that she wouldn't be able to travel past the southern border for a few months due to her being "held back". Britney said: "And I have been held back from going to Mexico for four months and since flying and traveling is the main thing for my health and well-being, I do have a small virus.

"They will do anything to keep me from living my life and in my highest manner. I feel sorry for people like that. Hopefully we can all be kind to one another."

Britney also sparked much concern amongst her fans last month when she took to Instagram to claim that she had 'burned down her house'. This is only one of the worrying posts Britney has made in recent years, as the iconic singer has also shared bizarre clips of herself dancing with knives, as well as a full-frontal nude video.

The most recent concerning video involved Britney telling her fans she had 'burned down her bathroom'. This highly concerning statement was accompanied with a clip of Britney writhing around her living room, wearing a cheetah-print leotard.

Britney's caption to the video said: "I dropped four sizes putting the cheetah on — Haven't danced in a while !!! I burned my bathroom down today, ran like a maniac back to the house because there was a pie in the oven and I'm honestly tired of making sense of things these days."

Britney shot to fame in 1999 with her hit song Baby, Hit Me One More Time at the age of 16, and became one of the world's most famous faces as she toured the globe. However, in 2008, Britney became caught up in a conservatorship war with her father, Jamie Spears, which saw him control many aspects of her life.

The singer was granted freedom in 2021 after a massive #FreeBritney campaign swept over social media. However, since this was dissolved, Britney has been posting odd videos on Instagram - including dancing with kitchen knives in a bikini.

Many fans have expressed their concern for their star, with some saying that Britney is "clearly suffering" and needs to get support. However, she told her fans not to worry as she is just "copying Shakira".

She captioned the post in which she brandishes the blades with lightning speed, dancing to Enigma's Sadeness: "Lighten up about the knives, I'm copying Shakira. I started playing in the kitchen with knives today." Britney added: "Don't worry they are NOT real knives."
