Britney Spears Says She’s Adopted ‘A Beautiful Baby Girl’ While Dancing In Pink Bodysuit – A Claim That’s Quickly Proven False

In a post shared on Instagram, pop star Britney Spears said that she adopted a daughter â€"  a claim that has now been proven false.

Alongside a video of Spears dancing in a pink bodysuit and cowboy hat, she wrote in the caption, “I haven’t worked out in years, so I put this little pink one piece on and PLAYED!!! How are you beautiful people this morning??? I need coffee ☕️ and I want to let you guys know I adopted a beautiful baby girl 😉😉😉 !!!”

Spears stated, “Her name is Lennon London Spears 🤪🤪🤪 !!!” before switching topic to her video, writing, “This is 30 seconds of my random silly workout!! I hate working out, but three hours of my footage was all stolen!!! It kinda hurt my stomach to see it disappear because, well, I sweat my ass off and had a white jacket on!!!”

Returning to the subject of her supposed newly-adopted daughter, Spears added, â€œLennon today has on an adorable dress ðŸ'—🤣🤣🤣 !!! It says I’m NEW HERE !!! SO PLEASE STOP TALKING TRASH AMERICA !!!”

Spears concluded, “I’ve decided to move to Italy 🇮🇹😉😉😉!!!”

Numerous outlets have confirmed that Spears did not, in fact, adopt a new child and speculate that she is simply trolling her fans, possibly evidenced by the numerous winky faces.

An insider told The Daily Mail, “Britney was just having fun when she announced that she would be adopting a girl… She did it for a laugh, she isn’t adopting a daughter, and it also doesn’t mean anything else, like her getting a dog. She was just trying to be funny and see who would bite.”

Fans have been expressing concern for Spears’ mental health for months as she has made a series of nonsensical and unhinged posts in the last year. She also has a history of sharing false information, such as an instance last December when she claimed she was moving to Mexico to escape the paparazzi. Although Spears said she was in the process of house hunting at the time, The Hollywood Reporter later confirmed that she had no plans to leave the United States.

Spears shares two sons with her ex-husband Kevin Federline â€" Sean, 20, and Jayden, 18. Although over the years Spears has had a rocky relationship with her sons, who are embarrassed by their mother’s internet presence, the trio reunited last Christmas, and the family has continued to spend time together.
