Britney Spears Blasts Family For ‘Trauma,’ Admits She’s ‘Not Perfect,’ and Needs to ‘Lose Weight’

Britney Spears is getting candid about her family and reflecting on herself.

On Sunday, December 28, the princess of pop, 44, took to Instagram to share a photo of a Christmas tree accompanied by a sarcastic caption aimed at her loved ones.

"Merry late Christmas to my beautiful family who have never disrespected me, harmed me, ever done anything completely unacceptable or caused unbelievable trauma, the kind you can't fix," she wrote.

"To my dear sweet innocent family … so so sorry I was busy this Christmas but I will definitely show up and surprise you soon … I can't wait …. hello, beautiful Ivy … I just want to hold you, my love … Godspeed, friends," the singer concluded the post.

As Star previously reported, the "Toxic" hitmaker — who shares kids Sean Preston, 20, and Jayden James, 19, with ex-husband Kevin Federline — spent Christmas with her younger son, according to TMZ. Sources told the outlet it was "great" for them.

However, Sean opted to spend the holidays in Louisiana with his grandmother Lynn Spears and his aunt Jamie Lynn Spears reportedly because of work obligations.

In a separate Instagram post on Sunday, the Grammy winner shared one of her infamous bikini dance videos and admitted she, too, has faults.

"I know I'm not perfect … I need to lose weight and my hair needs to be colored, I was at t he beach for 2 hours !!!" Britney penned in her caption. "I just got back from this beautiful place !!! I think I created another planet there … awwwwe, so cute and special !!!"

In another dance video posted Sunday, the musician expressed a similar sentiment, writing in part, "I believe we're all the same, I'm not better than anyone nor are you better than me !!! We are just people on a journey living to proceed and protect our hearts … Men say 'say less'… we need to teach our generation to stop being so damn cool and express SOMETHING for their hearts, whether good or bad !!!"

"PS … I am not perfect, nor will I ever be," she added.

Britney — who was placed under a conservatorship from 2008 to 2021 — has had a turbulent relationship with her family over the years, which she addressed in her 2023 memoir, The Woman in Me.
