BRITNEY Spears' ex-husband Kevin Federline has been rushed to hospital after suffering a suspected cardiac arrest on Channel 9 reality show Excess Baggage.
The former dancer was handballing with new AFL team Greater Western Sydney as part of the show when he was struck down with chest pains.
Paramedics at the scene suspect that Federline suffered a minor cardiac arrest. He was given oxygen and transferred by ambulance to Mount Druitt Hospital where he is undergoing a series of blood tests.
He is expected to remain in hospital overnight. It is not clear whether he will be able to return to the Nine reality show.
In recent times he has been nicknamed "K-Fat" because of his weight gain.
The 33-year-old said he decided to become a contestant on Excess Baggage âto become fit, healthy and buff once moreâ.
A Channel Nine spokeswoman said the network hoped Federline would make a speedy recovery.
Federline and Spears were married for nearly three years from 2004 to 2007 and had two children together.
Federline had a daughter with his new girlfriend, ex-volleyball player Victoria Prince, in August.
