Adam Lambert, Britney Spears Help Cancer Patient Ryan Kennedy - Gather Celebs News Channel

Today two top recording artists, Adam Lambert and Britney Spears, joined in the Twitter campaign to help cancer patient Ryan Kennedy. According to a post on Tumblr, Ryan Kennedy is a 9-year-old fighting a relentless battle against brain cancer. He has faced multiple surgeries and apparently his family has been informed that this weekend will most likely be his last. His biggest wish is to become a trend on Twitter.

On Sunday afternoon Britney Spears tweeted, "There's this sweet boy who is battling cancer, and his biggest wish is to trend on Twitter. Let's make it happen! #ryankennedy" Later, Adam simply tweeted, "#ryankennedy" prompting his fans to research the meaning. Both Adam and Britney have a huge influence on Twitter. Adam now has more than 1.4 million followers and Britney is at more than 16 million followers. Thanks to them and many others, the news about Ryan has spread rapidly across the social network. In fact, Kim Kardashian, Shannon Doherty, and several journalists have also joined the Twitter campaign for the boy.
