Britney Spears será jueza en 'X Factor' - Huffington Post

LOS ANGELES (AP) â€" Britney Spears vendrá al rescate del programa "The X Factor" de Fox, el concurso de canto que necesita impulsar su nivel de audiencia.

Una persona cercana con la selección del jurado dijo que la estrella pop ganadora del Grammy firmó un contrato para ser jueza en el segundo año de la emisión. La persona no estaba autorizada para discutir públicamente los detalles del acuerdo e hizo las declaraciones el jueves bajo condición de no ser identificada.

"The X Factor" se estrenó a finales del año pasado con una teleaudiencia que no cumplió con las altas expectativas del creador Simon Cowell. El programa se renovó casi por completo en enero, cuando las juezas Paula Abdul y Nicole Scherzinger lo abandonaron junto con el conductor Steve Jones.

Lo anterior hizo que Cowell y el productor Antonio "L.A." asumieran el puesto de jueces.

Fox rechazó hacer declaraciones sobre la participación de Spears o de la selección de otros integrantes para "The X Factor".
