Baring her body in a bikini on her Fourth of July holiday in Maui, Britney Spears admits that achieving and maintaining that perfect physique is a challenge. "Trying to get up and go work out in the morning [is hard]," she told the Stylist. "But once you get up and do it you feel like you've conquered the world." And the bonus of working out: indulging in her favorite treat: "Chocolate. Definitely chocolate." Britney's favorite exercise to blast away all that chocolate consists of cardio, she told People magazine recently. "I do a lot of running on the treadmill." She also follows a diet plan designed by her trainer, Derek DeGrazio, which consists of about 1,500 calories daily.
Britney spent the holidays accompanied by her fiance and sons, reported Us Weekly July 6. A source in Maui told Us that Britney soaked up the sun during her vacation. "She had a cabana by the adult pool all day. No kids are allowed there but she had her kids with her," revealed the source. All that relaxation renewed her enthusiasm for her "X Factors" judging: the UK Sun reported today that Britney "was all smiles and appeared relaxed as she arrived at the showâs venue in Greensboro, North Carolina."
Having been through so many weight loss successes, followed by failures, will Britney maintain her sleek new figure? Her new trainer, Derek, has confidence in her. "A diet is temporary - this is her lifestyle," he told People. Her eating regimen includes a "cheat day. I eat really clean, but I have days where I pig out," Britney confessed. However, under Derek's guidance, she reserves those pig-out days, featuring treats such as red velvet cupcakes, for Sundays.
