Christina Aguilera is bringing out the big guns to revive her recording career â" namely, Britney Spearsâ producer.
The Voice mentor â" whose 2010 Bionic album was a commercial and critical disappointment â" has enlisted the help of Swedish hit-maker Max Martin to helm the first single from her upcoming album, according to Billboard magazine. The song, due in early August, is reportedly a fist-pumping club banger with a chorus that includes the line, âAll I want to do is what you wanted.â
Martin may be exactly what Xtina needs after Bionic sold just 308,000 copies and failed to produce a Top Ten single. In addition to producing countless Spearsâ tunes â" including âBaby One More Time,â âTill the World Endsâ and â3,â he also helmed  all the hits from Katy Perryâs Teenage Dream album, plus Pinkâs âRaise Your Glass,â Usherâs âDJ Got Us Fallinâ In Loveâ and Kelly Clarksonâs âMy Life Would Suck Without You.â
Aguilera isnât placing all her bets on Martin. The singer is also reportedly working with British production team Xenomania, who have worked with The Wanted, Kylie Minogue and Cher.
Another expected collaborator: her Voice co-host Cee-Lo Green.
â[We made] a song for her album,â Green told MTV News in April. âI wonât disclose the title, because it could possibly be a working title. Weâve talked about it amongst ourselves, and Iâm gonna go in on it and work it out.â
Aguilera herself is pumped for the new project. In April, she told Voice correspondent Christina Milian, âDifferent producers Iâm working with have just excited me so much and have given me amazing tracks and beats and material. Itâs just filled with fun and excitement. Itâs gonna come out later this year, and Iâm very, very excited to share it with my fans, finally.â
