Demi Lovato Performs At The Greek, Praises Britney Spears [PHOTOS] - Socialite Life

Last night (July 18th) in Los Angeles, Demi Lovato performed at the Greek Theater in a fringe jacket, lace bustier and leather skirt (very Stevie Nicks).  Lovato wraps up her summer tour in September, where she’ll then jump to our television screens as one of The X-Factor‘s new judges.

The second season premieres on Fox September 12th, and Lovato talked to Ryan Seacrest on Wednesday (via MTV News) about working with Britney Spears, Simon Cowell and L.A. Reid.

“She’s amazing and I’m having so much fun with her,” Lovato said of Spears. “You know, we obviously have both been through a lot so I think that we kind of just get each other a little bit,” referring to their personal battles.

“We’re still getting to know each other of course, but she’s just so much fun to work with,” Lovato continued.  ’She’s really genuine and she’s kind of shy sometimes when the audience cheers for her. I think it’s really sweet that she’s so humble, but she’s also really, really funny on the show.” 

It appears that some British tabloids claim Lovato has a crush on Cowell, 52. “Oh my god. I don’t know where you heard that from. That’s ridiculous,” Lovato said. “I mean, he’s a nice looking fellow and I know that the older ladies love him, he’s not my type. We have a lot of fun together and you know, deep down he’s a really cool guy.”

BTW, who’s tuning in to watch Lovato host the 2012 Teen Choice Awards this Sunday, July 22nd? “I’m super excited,” Lovato said. “I’m a little nervous because I am a little new to hosting and I have one day of rehearsal and then I do it the next day. So, I’m a little bit nervous, but I’m excited.”
