'Glee': New cast member Jacob Artist wants Britney Spears episode role - Digital Spy

Glee's new cast member Jacob Artist has spoken about his excitement at joining the show.

As reported on Monday, Artist will play Puck's (Mark Salling) younger brother Jake.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Artist revealed what he will bring to the New Directions.

"I was a dancer growing up and I feel like they have so many great dancers like Harry Shum Jr. and Heather Morris, so I think it'll be fun trying to utilise the dancing and bring that to the table. To have another strong dancer with all of them would be cool," he said.

Artist also discussed the upcoming Britney Spears episode, saying: "I hear there's a Britney Spears episode coming up, it'd be fun if I could dance a little with Heather."

Glee executive Ian Brennan said earlier today that Jake would be "vastly different" to other characters on the show, and has a "little bit of an attitude".

Season four of Glee begins on Fox on September 14. In the UK, the show airs on Sky1.
