Transsexual Kara Hays, 26, who was born a man called Kody, has forked out a fortune on achieving what she calls the perfect look: Britney Spearsâ.
A young transgendered man was such a slave for Britney Spears that she went under the knife to prove it.
Kara Nicole Hays spent approximately $70,000 to get the pop starâs look, she confirmed to the News.
The 26 year-old estimated that her surgeries cost around $30,000 in 2002â" the remainer went toward therapy, hormones, clothing, cosmetics and everything else needed to make the transition.
Hays said that her face is all natural and any resemblance to Spears is a lucky coincidence.

âI never had any facial reconstruction to look like a certain celebrity,â she said .
Hays, who went by the name Kody while growing up in a staunchly conservative area of Southeastern Ohio, said that Spearsâ music brought him solace during tough times.
âBritney was someone that aided me through depression,â she said. âDancing to Britney's videos also aided me in losing weight and feeling better about myself.â
Hays told the News that she faced a lot of toxic attitudes in her small town.

She said that her family intitally had trouble accepting that their son wanted to live his life as a girl.
They feared a backlash from narrow-minded neighbors.
âIt wasn't until we brought in doctors/psychiatrists that they finally grasped onto the situation,â she said.
Things werenât easy at school either.
Hays said that while he was allowed to enter school as a girl, there was no storybook ending.
âI was nominated for Homecoming court (probably as a joke), but my name had to be withdrawn,â she said. âThe school officials had to personally come to my house to plead with my mom and myself about removing me from the ballots in fear of small town controversy.â
She said that she played it âlow-keyâ in high school due to âdeath threats.â

Through it all, his resemblance to Britney has been a comfort and is so strong that she once fooled seasoned paparrazzi.
âI do remember leaving a party in Hollywood in '07, it was Kevin Federline's birthday and I showed up with long black hair and shades. When I left, they shouted âIS THAT BRITNEY?â and they followed my friend and me to our car with cameras flashing,â she said.
âI know I was inches taller than Britney, so to be mistaken at that moment was hilarious,â she said.
Hays, who now lives in New York City and is focusing on a career as an actress and writer, said that sheâs at peace with who she is â" someone different than Spears.
âI never intended to look exactly like Britney, but to those that think I resemble the pop star, it's a huge compliment,â she said. âI've always loved Britney and I feel she's gone through so much in her life.â
Will she ever change?
âYeah, maybe now I'll spend $60,000 to look like Justin Bieber,â she tweeted Monday. âJust kidding! I've always prayed to have a far from monotonous life. I think my wish may have come true.â
