will.i.am track praised by Britney - Belfast Telegraph

will.i.am has thanked Britney Spears for her "love and support" following the release of his new single.

Fellow musician's including Britney and David Guetta have taken to Twitter to congratulate the Black Eyed Peas star on his latest solo track, This Is Love.

The pop song features Dutch singer Eva Simons and became the producer's first number one single in the UK last Sunday. The song was released in the US yesterday and has earned will.i.am rave reviews from his contemporaries.

"Love love love @iamwill's new single #thisislove! Go get it y'all," Britney Spears tweeted, to which the musician replied, "@britneyspears thanks for the love and support... @evasimons is amazing...we should all do something together...(sic)."

DJ David Guetta expressed his excitement too. The international superstar has worked with the Black Eyed Peas for years and, as Will revealed, introduced him to the vocalist featured on his new track.

"My boy will i am did it again! Smashing the uk with his single this is love. check it out," he wrote on Twitter, to which will.i.am replied, "@davidguetta thanks for introducing me to @evasimons in 2009 :) (sic)."

Sharon Osbourne and Snoop Dogg were also amongst the stars sending their well wishes.

Meanwhile, will.i.am told his followers he is considering what other tracks to include on his upcoming album #willpower.

He asked whether they would like to hear tracks from his past on the new release.

"I am almost done with making songs for #willpower? what type of songs from my past work would you guys like to hear?" he wrote. "When I was 13 I wrote a song called #willpower... I should put that song on... (sic)."
