GREENSBORO, N.C. â€" The X Factor wrapped up shooting at the Coliseum on Tuesday night, but not before a Britney Spears impersonator, severe weather and grits put Greensboro on the map.

All of the judges had nice things to say about Greensboro and the Triad.

“I love the South. I thought (coming to Greensboro) was a great idea. I look forward to coming back,” said L.A. Reid.

Britney Spears, who is from Louisiana, said she was excited about coming to the South.

“I’m very impressed (with Greensboro). A southern place like this… it’s amazing to be here,” said Britney Spears.

Demi Lovato said she was blown away by the talent in Greensboro.

“There’s a lot of talent here. There’s a lot of gems that haven’t been recognized â€" a lot of people getting their first chance on the stage at X Factor,” said Demi Lovato. “The talent has been spectacular.”

X Factor filmed six shows at the Coliseum over the past three days. L.A. Reid said the crowds at the Coliseum have been large and loud.

“This audience is so alive. They make so much noise. At one time, it was so piercing I saw (Britney) put her hands in her ears,” said L.A. Reid.

While the judges said they enjoyed their Greensboro visit, the storms on Monday night that caused a brief power outage at the Coliseum and stopped production was likely the most difficult moment.

“It was a little scary. When my assistant tapped me on the back after it was over, I literally screamed. I was a little embarrassed,” said Spears.

The judges also talked about the Britney Spears impersonator that prompted Spears, Lovato and Reid to walk off the set.

“I felt really uncomfortable and I had to walk away,” said Lovato. Spears added “I was following her.”

Cowell also made national headlines on Tuesday after a visit to Jake’s Diner.

Cowell stopped by the restaurant around 2 p.m. Tuesday.  Due to the last-minute food run, Cowell was late for interviews and auditions at the Coliseum.

L.A. Reid was not happy.

“I was told while waiting… and waiting… and waiting… that Simon was stopping by Jake’s Diner to have grits. I’m not sure he even knows what grits are,” said Reid.

Reid said when Cowell finally showed up at the Coliseum, he brought back some leftover “grits.”

“He got here and had mashed potatoes. He thought those were grits. That’s even worse, right?” said Reid.

The X Factor wrapped up auditions at the Greensboro Coliseum on Tuesday night. At the end of the last show, Cowell thanked the fans.
