Kelly Rowland has been very quiet since it as announced that she wouldnât be returning to The X Factor this year but it seems the singer has finally found her tongue.
The former Destinyâs Child hitmaker joined the ITV show last year and sat on the panel alongside Gary Barlow, Tulisa and Louis Walsh. It was claimed that bosses and the main man Simon Cowell were unhappy with her performance, her commitment and her persona and when it was announced in May that Kelly wouldnât be back, she claimed that she turned down the job but X Factor insiders say they didnât give her the option.
Now Kelly has issued some words of warning to new X Factor judges Britney Spears, Nicole Scherzinger and Demi Lovato. Britney and Demi have been drafted in for the US version, while Nicole has been shifted to the UK to take Kellyâs place.
Rowland claimed that they need to expect Cowell to lay the blame directly at their door if they make any mistakes at all and she told MTV:
âIt is a lot of responsibility and when, or if, you screw up everybody blames you. Simon included.â
However, she said it will be a good move for the ladies in terms of their career and said she is âexcitedâ to see how things work out for the stars.
Kelly continued:
âIâm excited for them. Iâll let them know itâs a lot of work. It is a lot of work, but it was definitely a great process.
âYou might be running into the next big thing. Or, like for Britney, the next big her, or the next big Demi Lovato. I think thatâs really exciting for them, and theyâll be a part of that, and theyâll never forget that.â
Rowland thinks the key to success involves working closely with your contestants and dedicating enough time and energy to making sure they do things right. She continued:
âTake it one day at a time. Itâs a lot of work, but itâs a lot of fun. Choose the right songs and songs that will make people excited, make them feel something⦠you have to touch peopleâs hearts.â
Amelia Lily revealed this week that Kelly spent a day with her in the recording studio earlier this year and even though the song they worked on didnât make her debut album, she still appreciated all the advice and help her mentor gave.
Will you miss Kelly from this yearâs lineup? Was Cowell right to let her go? Leave your comments belowâ¦
