With that in mind, we now have some more just-released details worth talking about from the episode â€" the official synopsis. Based on what we are seeing here, Heather Morris is once again going to have plenty to do just as she did the first time the pop superstar’s music was featured â€" and so will Lea Michele:
“Brittany S. Pierce is in a funk and turns to her icon Britney Spears’ music for inspiration! Meanwhile, Rachel struggles to adjust to life in New York, but is helped by her newfound NYADA friend, Brody Weston.â€
This synopsis alone makes it pretty clear that Dean Geyer is going to waste no time making his presence felt early on this season â€" but if there is one bit of solace fans of Finn / Rachel can take from this, it’s that the description does not say anything about the two parties getting romantic â€" at least not yet.

As for Brittany’s own future when it comes to romance, it’s safe to assume that she will at least start off the fall semester at McKinley High still in a relationship with Naya Rivera’s Santana. However, there are going to be some major complications with that thanks to the character being all the way in Louisville, and the two being in completely different places in their lives. (We’ll see more of this in the episode entitled “The Break-Up†coming a little bit later in the season.)
