The third time will hopefully be the charm for pop superstar, Britney Spears, as she preps to walk down the aisle with long-time love Jason Trawick, after a quickie Vegas wedding/drunken mistake to Jason Alexander (not the guy from Seinfeld) and a tumultuous union with back-up dancer Kevin Federline that lasted just shy of three years.
The longevity of Spears' current relationship could be due to the singer and agent's reclusive nature when it comes to talk of their love story. Both stay relatively mum on their private lives and it seems to have served them well, unlike when Spears' romances were of high-profile status, as with former Nsync member and actor Justin Timberlake.
The private couple may end up getting very public for their nuptials if Simon Cowell has his way. According to Artist Direct, the X Factor judge has offered to pay for his new co-judge's wedding on the condition that the ceremony is performed live on the show.
"I'm happy to have the wedding on the show," he said. "I'll pay for it. Why not?"
The show could certainly use the ratings boost. According to The Washington Post, the reality singing competition's sophomore premiere "scored the show's second smallest audience ever," despite the much-touted intro of new judges Spears and singer Demi Lovato.
