Britney Spears doesn't mince words when it comes to how she feels, especially on her usual mouthpiece: her "River Red" Instagram feed. After recently unloading her second LA home — a $10 million mansion — for less than she paid for it, Spears is seemingly targeting "people in Los Angeles with money" who have "lavish, over-the-top homes."
In the March 19 post, the "Toxic" singer shared a meme that says "It's OKAY! To repeat clothes, not to upgrade your phone, to buy second-hand items, and to live in a simple home. It's okay to live a simple life."

It was a more serious turn from her recent posts of lighthearted dancing videos and funny memes, like "I followed my heart and it led me into the fridge," for her 41 million followers. In the caption, the pop star lamented about wealthy people who have homes "with a pool that's connected to the kitchen and into the damn river" and goes on to address lavish birthday parties as well. "If you have a child and you don't throw a party for them with the whole cast and characters from Disney World, you have not done your job!"
Spears then addresses how "big hotels or homes" that have the "TV's coming out from a picture above the fireplace" offend her and characterized it as the "dumbest and most unattractive" thing she's seen.
The "Circus" singer then addressed the recent home she sold that was close to her sons and supposedly never lived in. "The last home I bought I was pretty. Most would say it was by far a more beautiful home… but I stayed for 5 or 6 months then came right back to my normal bedroom. I like what I like and that's okay."
The 41-year-old then stated that "no one can tell me what's best for me" and forays into her favorite topic, the controlling conservatorship under her father Jamie for 13-years. "I'm in love with the life I built for myself!!! I should be, it's f*cking beautiful… and it's pretty crazy after all the hard work I've done in getting rid of my father's abuse and controlling me, literally messing with my head."The "Lucky" singer finished the rant by claiming the media are "hateful" towards her, and that her "pretty little white ass will be sending prayers."
