Singer Britney Spears and her husband, Sam Asghari, were both photographed without wedding rings only ten months into their marriage.
The two tied the knot last June after meeting on the set of her "Slumber Party" music video in 2016. The Iranian actor popped the question on September 2021, two months before the 41-year-old pop star was freed from her controversial conservatorship.
Even still, fans have long suspected that there might be trouble in paradise, and Britney gave fans even more of a reason to question their relationship status when she appeared without her wedding ring on Tuesday, March 28.
Britney Spears and Sam Asghari Photographed WITHOUT Wedding Rings Amid Marriage Trouble Speculation Instagram | Britney SpearsOn Tuesday, March 28, the Daily Mail shared photos that showed the "Hold Me Closer" singer climbing out of a backseat of a chauffeured SUV just before she boarded her private jet in Los Angeles. Britney is currently on vacation with her longtime manager Cade Hudson, who appears to have filmed her rolling around the sand in a bikini as the two enjoyed a beach day together.
On Thursday, March 30, the former personal fitness trainer was walking around Los Angeles running errands around their Thousand Oaks home and was photographed without his wedding ring on. In photos captured by the Daily Mail, it looked like Britney also ditched her wedding ring as she boarded her flight to Hawaii.

She walked across the tarmac in Birkenstock sandals and wore white shorts underneath a long-sleeve blazer that she wore open to reveal a floral-patterned shirt.
Fans have been concerned for the "Toxic" singer and have often alleged that it's really Sam who is running her social media account. More trouble for the couple seemed to surface earlier this year when it was revealed that Sam might have actually been planning an intervention for the pop star.
Britney And Sam Appear Without Wedding Rings After Sam Reportedly Tried Staging An Intervention Instagram | Britney SpearsOn February 9, TMZ reported that Britney's close friends and family were planning an intervention for the pop star. However, this intervention did not include her father, Jamie Spears, her mother, Lynne Spears, or her sister, Jamie Lynn Spears, who have all reportedly had a hand in her controversial 13-year conservatorship.
One source that reportedly had regular contact with Britney told the outlet "I'm afraid she's going to die" amid allegations that Britney was struggling with her mental health and substance abuse. One source said that the singer is taking meds to "hype her up" and has been "flying off the handle" after she stopped taking medications "that stabilize her."
Instagram | Britney SpearsSources reported that her manager had actually rented a home in the L.A. area for several months. The plan, according to insiders, was for Sam to bring an "unsuspecting" Britney to the home, where Sam, her manager, doctors, and an interventionist would try to convince her to seek help.
Ultimately, though, the reported intervention never took place after Britney became "somewhat aware" of the idea of an intervention. Instead, Britney reportedly went to a doctor the following day, which reportedly "went well." Another source told PEOPLE that Sam was "being as supportive as possible" of his wife amid her health struggles.
Instagram | Britney Spears"Everyone had hoped Britney could be convinced to seek treatment before things got any worse but they knew it wouldn't be easy," the source said. "She's been going through a lot and has been increasingly combative."
Another insider reported, "Britney has been acting increasingly erratically and those around her have grown more concerned," adding, "She is often up all night, sleeps during [the] day, and has a lot of anger."
Sam Asghari Confirms That Britney's Intervention 'Did Not Occur' As Britney Speaks Out Instagram | Donatella VersaceIn a statement made to Access Hollywood, the 28-year-old actor confirmed that the "invention did not occur." However, he did not deny that there were plans for an intervention in place.
"My wife is in full control of her life and will continue to make all decisions involving her care regardless of circumstances," he continued, adding, "Speculation on her health is inappropriate and should end immediately."
Instagram | Britney SpearsIn her own Instagram post, the "Hold Me Closer" singer shared a cryptic message that read, "A state of gratitude will shift you to a higher frequency."
"It makes me sick to my stomach that it's even legal for people to make up stories that I almost died … I mean at some point enough is enough !!!" Britney wrote in the caption. "I'm probably going to have to stop posting on Instagram because even though I enjoy doing it, there's obviously a lot of people who don't wish me well !!!"
"I'm honestly not surprised at all … Again doing the best I can !!! Again, the conservatorship has been over for almost a year … No folks, it's not 2007 … it's 2023 and I'm making my first homemade lasagna at home !!!" she continued. "I finally got my fireplace to work in my living room !!! As my hubby says it best: don't believe everything you read !!! All that love right back at ya !!!"
