Britney Spears Once Upon a Time in Hollywood premiere red dress
Britney Spears, 41, won't be seeing her two teenage sons before they officially move to Hawaii with their father, Kevin Federline, and step-mom Victoria Prince, if we are to believe TMZ's recent report.
The "Gimme More" singer reportedly hasn't seen sons Sean Preston, 17, and Jayden James, 16, in over a year. And if we are to believe the reports, their father, who Britney was married to between 2004 and 2007, allegedly encouraged the boys to see their mom before they moved to a different state, but they chose not to say goodbye to her in person. Poor Britney!
Britney Spears' Relationship With Her Estranged SonsThe Grammy-winning pop star, who is expected to release her tell-all memoir The Woman in Me in October this year, has had a rocky relationship with her two sons for many years now. Things came to a head back in June, when she took to Instagram to accuse her sons and other people closest to her of "going behind" her back and making up stories about her, after the Daily Mail published a report that alleged that she was "using drugs."
Journalist Daphne Barak alleged that Federline told her, "I fear [Spears is] on meth. I've been praying someone would make it public and that she wakes up. It's terrifying. She is the mother of my boys." Following the publication of the article, Federline denied ever saying those things and called the report, which also included things their sons were alleged to have said about their mom, "false" and "repulsive."
Britney's Response To 'False' And 'Repulsive' Report"The fact that people are claiming things that are not true is so sad," Britney's June 11th Instagram post began. "This may not even be them saying such things because it doesn't make any sense to me for them to be saying that," she continued, as she questioned whether her sons did actually speak negatively about her to the press, or whether the press made it up.
"It makes me sad because I tried so hard to make things nice for you and it was never good enough," she continued. "So you guys go behind my back and talk about me. It breaks my heart and the news is so low. l've always felt like the news bullies me…" She finished off by saying: "Hopefully it is just the news being hateful and Kevin nor Preston said any of those things either way I will be fine working out to Throb."

Britney Spears Previously Addressed Her Sons' 2022 Interview With The 'Daily Mail'In August last year, the Daily Mail finally released its bombshell interview with Federline and their two sons, which included their own takes on why they chose not to see Britney in "months" and why they chose to skip their mom's wedding to Sam Asghari on June 9th, 2022. Jayden seemed to do most of the talking in the televised interview, and gave his own views on everything from Britney's erratic and unhinged Instagram posts – saying they're a huge part of why he and his brother don't want to see their mom – to her public feud and ongoing legal battle with her father and conservator, Jamie Spears.
Naturally, Britney responded to the allegations in the interview on social media; where else?! "I hope my kids one day understand my reasoning of my play in water revealing myself as any woman would being held under blankets and surveillance and conservatorship," she said, in reference to her scantily-clad Instagram posts.
She then went on to defend her career, saying that everything she has ever done has been for the sake of her two children. "I'm so happy I was able to carry 4 tours, judge X Factor and way more. I did that for you and Preston," she wrote, seemingly directing that part of her message to son Jayden.
She added: "My love for my children has no boundaries and it deeply saddens me to know his outcry of saying I wasn't up to his expectations of a mother and maybe one day we can meet face to face and talk about this openly. Maybe dear child you can explain to me why our family would do that to anyone."
