Kevin Federline’s attorney reveals the last time Britney Spears spoke to her sons

Britney Spears recently reconnected with her sons, Sean Preston and Jayden, Page Six has exclusively learned.

Kevin Federline's attorney, Mark Vincent Kaplan, tells us the teens communicated with their pop star mother "probably a couple of weeks ago."

However, he notes he's unaware whether they have been in touch since Preston, 17, and Jayden, 16, moved to Hawaii with their father and the rest of their family.

Page Six also exclusively learned that the boys have dealt with some "trauma" due to the wildfires that have ravaged the Aloha State this week — just shortly after their move to the islands.

Federline, 45, relocated his entire family earlier this month after his wife, Victoria Prince, landed a job there.

"[They are] not personally [affected], but there's people in the area that are dying and having their homes destroyed, so it's very traumatic," Kaplan previously told us.

"Obviously, right now, everyone is very sad about what's going on there with the fires and the casualties from the fires, but other than the trauma from that, they're very happy to be there."

Reps for Spears did not return Page Six's request for comment as to whether the "Toxic" singer has tried to contact her sons in light of the natural disaster.

However, the revelation that Spears, 41, has spoken to Preston and Jayden in recent weeks is a positive update given that they reportedly cut off all communication with each other last year.

The documentary "TMZ Investigates: Britney Spears: The Price of Freedom," released in May, alleged "by the end of the summer [2022], tensions got so bad that the boys weren't even responding to her texts."

Federline himself alleged in August 2022 that Preston and Jayden "made the decision" to not see their mother or go to her June 2022 wedding to Sam Asghari because of the media circus surrounding the end of her conservatorship in November 2021.

"It's been tough. It's the most challenging thing I've ever had to do in my life," he added at the time.

For more Page Six you love …

Jayden told the Daily Mail in December 2022 that he was holding out hope for a reunion, saying in a message to his mom at the time, "I love you a lot, I hope for the best for you. Maybe one day we can sit down like this and talk again."

The exact date of when Spears reconnected with her kids is unknown, but the "Hold Me Closer" singer did seemingly send a message to her sons via social media in June.

She posted a throwback photo of Preston on Instagram at the time and captioned it, "My first love !!"

Spears also posted a similar tribute to Jayden that same week, sharing a photo of the teen when he was just a toddler and her holding him in her arms. She simply captioned the nostalgic pic, "🌷🌷."

Kaplan also told Page Six that despite recent events, Preston and Jayden are "very excited" about "building a future in a new environment, making new friends and exploring new opportunities."

We're told the teens will continue to get their educations, with one attending school in Hawaii while the other works remotely with their Los Angeles school.

As for Federline, Kaplan said he is "still doing some DJ stuff" and and has "some other things in developments."

Spears fans were previously concerned that the former backup dancer was moving the Grammy winner's sons from California in order to extend child support payments. Hawaiian law allows payments to continue until age 23 if the kids attend an accredited college, university, vocational or trade school full time.

However, Federline denied the claims in June, telling a paparazzo, "A lot of people say a lot of stupid things."

Spears, for her part, has always been OK with her sons leaving their home state.

Her attorney, Mathew Rosengart, said in a letter exclusively obtained by Page Six in May, "To her credit, Britney Spears will not interfere with and consents to the relocation."
