Britney Spears reportedly reunited with youngest son, Jayden Federline, for the first time since he and his brother, Sean Preston Federline, moved to Hawaii to live with their dad, Kevin Federline.

Reports about the family reunion swirled on Monday, November 11, after Page Six first reported the news. An insider told the outlet that the "Circus" singer, 42, and Jayden, 18, "have been spending a lot of time together."

Meanwhile, a separate source told USA Today that Britney and Jayden have been building their estranged relationship at her Thousand Oaks, California, estate.

The happy family news comes five months after Kevin's attorney, Mark Kaplan, told Entertainment Tonight that the boys had "a desire" to mend their relationship with their mom.

"Reconciliations and the reunification of relationships are difficult and take time. They are sometimes complicated and always a lengthy process. The process has not really commenced, let alone [been] completed," Kaplan told the outlet on June 25. "The good thing is that the boys saw their mom was doing well and have a desire to speak with her. There has been some telephonic communication between Britney and her sons, and we think that is a step in the right direction."

Britney Spears Reportedly Reunites With Estranged Son Jayden

Britney and Kevin, 46, expanded their family after tying the knot in 2004. The "Lucky" artist welcomed Sean, 19, the following year, and Jayden joined the family in 2006. However, the family split up later that year when Britney and Kevin separated. The former professional dancer was granted sole physical and legal custody of Sean and Jayden in 2007 when he and Britney finalized their divorce.

The estranged family's woes came to light in 2022 after Britney's conservatorship under her father, Jamie Spears, ended. At the time, Kevin told Daily Mail that Britney and their sons hadn't seen each other in a while, which later set her off with a clapback.

"It saddens me to hear that my ex-husband has decided to discuss the relationship between me and my children," the Crossroads star wrote via Instagram Stories in August 2022. "As we all know, raising teenage boys is never easy for anyone. It concerns me that the reason is based on my Instagram. It was LONG before Instagram. I gave them everything. Only one word: hurtful. I'll say it. My mother told me, 'You should GIVE them to their dad.' I'm sharing this because I can."

Jayden reflected on his strained relationship with his mother during an interview with Daily Mail the following month. The celebrity teen claimed that the A-lister "struggled" to give him and his older brother "equal love."

"I don't think she showed enough to Preston, and I feel really bad for that," Jayden told the outlet. "We've both been through so much pressure in the past that this is our safe place now, to process all the emotional trauma we've been through to heal, heal our mental state."

He later added, "If I complained, she went after him. I feel guilty, so I am there for him."
