It might be hard to top Danielle Fishel's New Year's Eve story.

While co-hosting a crossover podcast chat with Boy Meets World costars Rider Strong and Will Friedle of Pod Meets World, Full House stars Andrea Barber and Jodie Sweetin of How Rude, Tanneritos! and Step by Step stars Staci Keanan and Christine Lakin of Keanan and Lakin Give You Déjà Vu, Fishel was among the celebs to be asked about a memorable New Year's Eve.

"It was Y2K," the 43-year-old recalled of Dec. 31, 1999. "I was in Hawaii with the *NSYNC boys and Britney Spears."

Fishel was famously friends with the boy banders, and even dated Lance Bass for a time before he came out.

"All the girls decided to get their belly buttons pierced, and the guys all got tattoos," she continued. "But I already had my belly button pierced, so I got my tongue pierced."

When her co-hosts expressed shock — and the fact they never even noticed — Fishel said she actually got the piercing with the intent to "take it out the next day. I was never gonna keep it," she added. "I just was like ... it was part of the thing to do."

She added that she only wanted to try because she heard "you do not feel it at all" when you get your tongue pierced, and for her, "it was true. It is 100% painless."

Though to her it was inconsequential, the move was not okay with the star's mother.

"She had a deal with me when I was a teenager that I was allowed to get my belly button pierced as long as I promised her to never pierce my tongue," Fishel, who was 18 at the time, recalled. "I took it out, and she said, 'That still doesn't count. I don't care that nobody ever saw you with it, you went back on our deal.' She was really angry about it."

Even though it's been 20-plus years since the moment, "my mom still to this day is angry about that," Fishel admitted.
