Britney Spears' on-again, off-again boyfriend, Paul Richard Soliz Jr., filed a restraining order against his former mother-in-law, In Touch has learned.
Paul, 38, filed a petition for a domestic violence restraining order, obtained by In Touch, against Sandra Smith, the mother of his estranged wife, Nicole Mancilla, on September 12, 2024.
In his petition, Paul asked for Sandra to be ordered to stay 100 yards away from him. He alleged the most recent abuse took place on September 9, 2024.
He claimed that after a visit with their mother, Nicole, his sons Trystan and Dylan ran outside as soon as they heard his car approaching. Paul claimed his sons told him Sandra was refusing to let Violet, Paul's daughter, leave with them.
"She then yelled through the door, 'She is my daughter's baby not yours!' I banged on the door demanding for her [to] give me my daughter, as I heard Violet screaming and crying through the door."

"I tried to console her through the door, letting her know I was there for her, but Sandra refused to open the door and release her to me," Paul said. He claimed to have called LAPD to get someone over to help him. He said he waited for someone to show up but "had to take the boys home as it was a school night and I didn't want them to be subjected to anymore abuse and yelling as Sandra was threatening to lie to the police and have me arrested."
Paul also accused Sandra of emotional and mental harm, and humiliation, after she spoke to the Daily Mail about him. He wrote, "Sandra has blamed me for her daughter's mental health deteriorating. She has told me that I will only love her daughter when she is dead."
"In June 2024, she called me a deadbeat dad publicly and defamed my character for monetary gain," he said. At the time, Paul said he had yet to spend time with his daughter since the incident with Sandra.
"I blame myself for allowing her [to] have unsupervised visits with them. She used Nicole to gain access to the children, then tossed the boys outside making them feel unwanted and unloved," he said.
In his filing, Paul called his former mother-in-law "manipulative" and "toxic."
Sandra fired back at Paul's petition for a restraining order.

She claimed, "I was in fear of my life from Paul. I did call 911 on [September 9, 2024] about 8:35 p.m. He was trying to break my door down. LAPD did show up." She claimed the grandchildren always lived with her until Paul decided to take them on August 14, 2024.
She claimed Paul has never paid child support. Sandra accused Paul of having been verbally abusive in the past. She said, "I was always in fear when he would take the boys he would leave them in a strange person, so he go to his girlfriend's house."
A hearing was held on October 7, where both Paul and Sandra appeared in court to testify.
Paul asked for the case to be sealed but was denied. Further, his request for a permanent restraining order was also denied.
"The Court finds the party requesting the order of protection did not sustain the applicable burden of proof and accordingly the request is denied. Any temporary restraining order earlier issued is hereby dissolved," the court order read.
As In Touch first reported, Nicole has struggled to serve Paul with her divorce papers and recently tried to serve him at Britney's home.
For her part, TMZ reported that Britney and Paul were spotted together on February 4. The outlet said the pop star was seen with her boyfriend and two of his children.
