In a video posted to social media on Saturday, Spears relaxed at her $11.8 million mansion in Calabasas, California, with messy hair. She showed the camera her chipped nails and explained her trouble maintaining their health over the years in a British accent.
She told fans, "Like really little, so little it's weird, but I have a little bitty pinky nail… I haven't had nails since I was in seventh grade. I'm like, like, freaking out. They're really, really tiny, but still."
While some fans have expressed their alarm that Spears' mental health is taking a plunge, calling it "frightening," others have commended her honesty regarding everyday problems many people experience, one person writing, "Poor Brit can't even post about nails. Love Brit."
However, some viewers pointed to a gap in Spears' teeth, saying, "Her teeth ain't never looked like that… It's like she got someone else's mouth."
Many fans have analyzed Spears' erratic and odd behavior and declared her a clone of the pop star or questioned her mental acuity. However, Spears' fans have argued that the musical icon has always had a somewhat unhinged approach to life, and the internet users questioning her did not pay attention to her before.
Spears's biopic is being developed with Universal Studios, and many pop stars and actresses had reportedly been considered for the role. However, the biopic's director, Jon Chu, put an end to these rumors on March 23, posting to X, "None of this is true."
"Sounds exciting, but I have not had one conversation about casting this movie yet. We are way too early in development. Sorry," he wrote.
