The former dancer was treated by Fremantle Media production company's on-set paramedics after completing a challenge with the AFL's new Greater Western Sydney team at Doonside.
The 33-year-old was reportedly given oxygen and transferred by ambulance to Mt Druitt Hospital, in Sydney's West, where he is undergoing further tests.
Federline has been filming the celebrity reality series for nine weeks, weighing in at 105.4 kilograms.
It is the second time he has been hospitalised this season, after being treated for heat stress during a stint in the Western Australia outback near Karratha..
In recent times he has been nicknamed "K-Fat" because of his weight gain.
