'Big Brother 14' Spoilers: Was the Power of Veto Used in Week 1? - BuddyTV

Were still four days away from the first live eviction of Big Brother 14, and already the week seems to be over. But four days is an eternity in the house and anything can happen, though at this point that seems unlikely.

SPOILER WARNING: This article contains Big Brother 14 spoilers.

Willie nominated Frank and Kara. Shane won the Power of Veto. He did NOT use it.

That's no surprise since the PoV almost never gets used unless it is won by one of the two nominees. Since I'm a huge Big Brother stat nerd like Ian, here are the numbers. The Power of Veto has been won 61 times by someone other than one of the two nominees. And in only 16 cases (about one-quarter) was it used.

So now it's time for Britney and Janelle to play Wallace Shawn's character from The Princess Bride, going back and forth while overthinking everything they do.

First they wanted Frank out because he's obviously a huge threat and could easily win a bunch of competitions and the entire game. But then they wanted Kara out because they want to cripple Dan's team and get him out because Britney and Janelle are 100 percent certain the coaches will get to enter the actual game and play alongside the newbies at some point, and they don't want to have to deal with Dan. But that plan only works if they get out Danielle next week, but that seems insanely stupid since she's not a threat to anyone either.

Now, however, Joe has entered the mix, claiming that he had a conversation with Frank about how Frank would be going after Shane and Willie next week. Did this conversation really happen? Not exactly, but Joe is doing a great job selling it to Janelle and Britney making them rethink their strategy so they may now go after Frank instead of Kara.

It's all total chaos, and with four days until the live eviction, I'm sure everything will change about seven more times. What won't change is Janelle and Britney's desperate attempts to ensure their two teams stay together as a solid alliance. Janelle and Britney are certainly playing this game together, and they have already made plans for what to do once they enter the game.

I hope they're wrong and that their idle speculation is equal to Lawon's hopes of getting voted out to come back with a "special power." After last season, I'm so over veterans and newbies competing alongside each other, especially if the newbies are too damn stupid to immediately vote out the coaches.

For now, it's just a matter of waiting to see what side of the coin Janelle and Britney land on by Thursday. Will they try to get rid of Dan? Or will they go after the biggest threat?
