It's been more than a year since Britney Spears last released new music and debuted a tune on a Billboard chart. As fans wait to hear more from the pop superstar—and they may be waiting quite a long time—they regularly revisit her back catalog. Sometimes, her millions of listeners collectively focus on one track or album, making it a hit all over again, if only for a moment.

Spears' many die-hard supporters have turned her track "Work Bitch" into a Billboard chart win once more this week. The tune doesn't just find its way back to any list—it reaches the loftiest tier on one tally where it's lived for months.

"Work Bitch" reappears at No. 10 on the Dance/Electronic Digital Song Sales chart. The Billboard tally ranks the bestselling dance and electronic cuts in the country (though those tracks that land on the roster can usually be defined as both), and Spears is no stranger to the highest region.

The superstar has thus far scored a lucky 13 top 10 hits on the purchase-only ranking. That sum includes five No. 1s. Back when the Dance/Electronic Digital Song Sales chart featured more than the 10 spaces it does these days, the Grammy winner pushed another 11 tunes to the longer list as well.

"Work Bitch" is not, sadly, one of Spears' five leaders on the Dance/Electronic Digital Song Sales chart. The tune instead peaked at No. 2, missing out on becoming her sixth ruler by just one slot. The catchy cut reached that position back in October 2013, when it debuted in the runner-up rung.

Why is Spears' 11-year-old single soaring once again when it comes to sales? Fans of the pop icon chose to buy "Work Bitch" en masse last week to celebrate the fact that the singer will reportedly not have to pay her ex-husband Kevin Federline child support any longer. The couple share two kids, the youngest of which just turned 18 years old.

Spears released "Work Bitch" in the fall of 2013 as the lead promotional cut from her then-forthcoming album Britney Jean. The song barely missed out on the top 10 on the Hot 100, due, perhaps, to the fact that radio DJs may have been reluctant to place a track with a curse in the chorus and title into heavy rotation. The single peaked at No. 12, and it's already been certified double platinum for moving two million units in the U.S., according to the RIAA.
